iCrimp Hexagonal Ratchet Crimper for End Sleeves and Ferrules 0.5-16mm2 AWG 20-5

I bought this based on reviews and price, and am pretty pleased with how well it works and how robust it feels for the price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

it works great to crimp ferrules up to 6 AWG

This hex crimper seems to be constructed well. There was an extra metal spring in the package, but no instructions at all. Not sure if the spring was there on purpose or just a packaging mistake. Beware that although this crimper is supposed to work with wires up to 6 AWG its handle design makes it almost impossible to get enough pressure to do a decent ferrule crimp. It will work much easier on smaller diameter wires. I was sort of disappointed as I bought it for use with 6 AWG wire. I had to hold the crimper on the floor in order to use both hands on the other handle to crimp the ferrule

I used this already on a variety of ferrule sizes (wire AWGs), including double wire ferrule terminals. The crimp looks just like the photos. Crimping was easy, no extra finger strength needed. Really wish I had purchased this long ago too!

It may not be the highest end tool on the market, but as a snobby hobbyist it allows me to crimp ferrules on wires that I would have otherwise twisted and jammed into the terminal block. If I were using it regularly as part of my job, perhaps I'd invest in a more expensive tool, but this does the job just fine for my limited use. Would buy again, hopefully won't have to.

Not really much to say.It works as expected. fit and finish is fine.

This one's top notch. Lots of diaphragm blades makes it a winner.
