KitchenAid K5ASBP Stainless Steel Bowl for 5Qt Bowl-Lift Stand Mixers

I recently received my mom's 25 year old kitchen aid. The only problem was my dad couldn't locate the bowl. No big deal I thought I'll simply pick up a replacement. That turned out to be not as easy as I thought! First I can't believe how expensive these bowls are! Local stores seemed to price them at $50 and up! Amazon had by FAR the best price and all things considered is a pretty fair price at just under $40. Thankfully I wasn't in dire need of a bowl and could wait for one to be shipped and having an Amazon Prime membership meant the wait would be really short. A few other reviewers had already done the research to tell me that THIS bowl was for my mom's mixer (KSM5). I double checked to be extra sure and placed my order. When the bowl came in, well it's a bowl! It's a nice bowl to be sure, well made polished outside, brushed interior those looking to display their KA will have to watch out for fingerprints! Mine now sits under a KitchenAid KACC1WH Quilted Cover with Pocket, White so that is not a concern. The bowl fits perfectly and does what it's supposed to do. So if you need a replacement bowl or are looking for a second bowl (I'm now hoping the original turns up!) double check to make sure this is the bowl for mixer and then place your order here at Amazon to get the best price around.

Gorgeous. Beaut. A perfect fit. Gonna be using this when I bake whatever I need to. Got this as an extra so I don't have to worry about potential cross contamination when baking. Durable and easy to install and that shiny steel surface is gorgeous. Lightweight without being cheap. Cannot wait to bake.

It was such a treat to finally have a second mixing now for my KitchenAid. If you know someone that uses their mixer often, this is a great gift! Well made and fit like a glove.

Well, I have had my KitchenAid for awhile now. My parents have three girls and I'm the only one with a knack for baking and cooking (I'm the middle child) so I was ecstatic when they got it for me from Sam's club one Christmas. It was an extravagant purchase as my parents are very frugal. It is a beast and weighs a ton! Anyway, my daughter's 7th birthday is coming up and I foolishly bought a glass one at Walmart. I began scouring Amazon for another bowl as I could really use two and stumbled across this one. It is beautiful and looks exactly like my other one. Looks can be deceiving though because as you can see--the fit is off by at least a half of an inch. I'm so disappointed as I read other reviews and even checked the description to make sure it would fit. I also made sure my bowl wasn't bent or anything and it is obvious that it isn't my mixer or old bowl. I hate to return this as I desperately need an extra one to bake my daughter's cake Friday. Back to the drawing board.

Very tight fit. The holes on the side are very tight, you have to push the bowl down to make it actually fit.

I got this as a second bowl for baking cookies at Christmas. I can now save time by making more in less time. Don’t have to clean the same bowl to make a second batch. So happy!!
