I got this as a starting kit for my tomato seeds. They are great, all you have to do it's soak them and put the seeds inside. In four days I had the seeds germinating. And I still have some of the soil things or pellets left over for other seeds. Great buy to start the germination of your seeds. I highly recommend purchasing this.

Product only Partly works
I am happy with the item itself. My issue is I paid for 4 mats to work and only 3 work. It seemed liike it took me a couple of weeks to get the product to begin with so I am not sending it back to wait another couple weeks for another possible failure of one of the mats. Just taking the loss here on one mat.

Lid just does not fit
This would be great if the lid would fit. I like the company and the use of the individutal peat pods is great.

Cracked Tray
The tray had a crack in it and leaked water everywhere when I initially filled it to soak the soil pellets. Now that it is seed starting time, I don't have time to return it and wait on a replacement.

Peat shells are NOT biodegradable!
These peat pots, even though they were cut, did not allow the roots of the carrots, brassicas or other plants to escape the pot and fully develop. All plants are stunted. Will not purchase again. Who makes a seed starter kit with a non-biodegradable covering?
