14C10 14-Sheet Cross-Cut Shredder

My old Fellowes 11c finally cashed in after many years, so hoping this one will last as long as that last workhorse. Love: * Bin design means no more setting the heavy head unit off to the side to dump the bin but instead just pull it out (separate it) from the rest of the unit - what a huge improvement! * Casters - who knew? : ) Love 'em! My old one didn't have, and moving it was always a challenge due to how it was designed. * Quiet as a churchmouse - compared to my old one, this one's a library marm : ) * Smooth operator - it just seems to operate more smoothly, not to angrily like my last beast ; ) Meh: * Meh, it's a wee bit slower than my last one but, not exceedingly so either so, no deductions here

Purchased this after a filing cabinet deep cleaning to shred a bunch of old paperwork and this thing went right to work. No fuss, no complaints, just consistent shreds regardless of what I fed it. Cardstock, thick envelopes, expired IDs, you name it. I inspected some of the shred due to some paranoia you could somehow decipher information, but it's impossible to get anything. My one grief is that I wish the drawer/tank was slightly bigger, but otherwise, this thing is a tank!

This is a tough and reliable item. It's reasonably priced and I recommend this item for purchase.

Got the shredder to take over for my old micro-cut shredder that no longer shuts off automatically. Noticed this one had the P-4 security designation which I require, but did not pay close enough attention to the size of the cuts also listed on the page. After running some test docs through, I became concerned with the size of the cuts. Turns out this one just barely meets the P-4 security standard if my research is correct. According to my research, the P-4 requires a maximum cut of 160 sq mm. Using the dimensions listed on the page (and converting them to metric), the area of the cuts comes out around 157.5 sq mm. This is probably due to the length of the cuts. The shredder seems to work well and shreds fairly quickly. The front window makes it easy to see when the bin is getting full, and the basket is very easy to remove and replace. On the down side, the main body is pretty flimsy if the shredding head is removed and the feeder slot seems thin for something that accepts 12 sheets, both things mentioned in other reviews. It does have a bit of a "whine" sound when running, but I did not find it particularly loud. I do not intend to ask Amazon to foot the bill for a return/restock since the information was all included on the page. I will use it for some non-sensitive shredding but will replace it with a micro-cut version to ensure I get the security level I need. The key seems to be to put micro-cut in the search.

This works very well. No disappointments. Does a lot of pages at a time but it does bog down so follow the instructions and make sure to empty the receptacle often because it doesn't take long to fill up. Also noteworthy: if you let shredding reach the top of the receptacle bin, when you open it you'll have confetti shredding everywhere. I suggest opening it slightly, pushing the shredding down, putting the drawer back in and shaking the drawer a bit to capture all of it. I would definitely buy it again.

I had an older version of this shredder and it lasted a long time. My personal opinion of the Fellowes Powershred 12 Sheet Cross-Cut Paper Home Office Paper Shredder, 19.50" H x 9.69" Pros- It has wheels, it is easy to empty, it is quieter, and I shred about 5 pages at a time. I peronally don't try to destroy it by shoving too much paper in it at once. Cons - It doesn't seem as heavy duty / sturdy as my last shredder by the same company

This is my second Fellows shreader, the first one lasted more than 15 years. This is not quite as heavy-duty as the original one, and appears to have the same issue I encountered with the first one it replaced (see the cons). Heres is what to know: 🟢 Pros: - Portable and easy to move around. - Shreds small bundles of paper (maybe 6-7 sheets) effectively. - Quiet enough for a shredder. 🟡 Neutral: - This does handle 12 sheets, but is noticeably slower than with 6-7 sheets, which is the max I ever put in it, plus see my second con below. 🔴 Cons: - Price is a bit high for what it is. - The more sheets you put in this, the more it builds up shredded paper pieces in the shredding blades on the outside edges underneath. This is the same issue I had with the original one, which eventually necessitated it being replaced. To clear this, I unplug it, pull out the biggest clumps, and then run a couple of single sheets through with the bin empty. Overall, I am ok with the purchase, but would be happier with a lower price.

Buena compra y calidad. Solo respeta los tiempo sino comienza a oler a quemado. Afortunadamente sigue funcionando pero si te pasas del tiempo recomendado podría dejar de funcionar.

Seems to be good quality, and I like the slide out drawer, easy to empty. Also I had a function question, I emailed the company and I had an answer back in literally 5 minutes, I was astounded!
