This is a small (3 3/4" dia 2 1/2" tall) cherry shrink pot with a pine bottom. It is made by hollowing a section of fresh cut log with a gouge and fitting a bottom into a groove then letting the fresh timber dry and "shrink" around the bottom making a tight fit so that the bottom is trapped in it's groove.
