Lightweight, Quiet, and Powerful
I needed a vacuum that was lightweight and easy to maneuver that could also handle carpet in a house with dogs. The Pure One S11 is it. The suction is strong; I had my doubts at first, since the Pure One is light and quiet, but it effectively cleaned both our carpets and hard floors. The vacuum is easy to use on carpeted stairs. The attachments switch out with no effort but remain secure during use. I can vacuum the entire house on one charge (my house is under 1800 square feet, so your experience with charge duration may vary.)The vacuum does not take up a lot of space, freeing storage for other things. The Pure One is versatile and the only vacuum we now own. It can be used to dust shelves, freshen up upholstery, and clean the interior of the car. What I like best is that the Pure One is not a chore to set up and move around the house. I find myself vacuuming more often than before because the Pure One is easy to use. Our house is cleaner and my bad back is happier. I'm thrilled to no longer have to lug around a burdensome vacuum. The Pure One S11 is the vacuum I didn't know I needed!

Love this vacuum! Thoughfully engineered and good value!
Having read many of the reviews about this vacuum there seemed to be two distinct camps either loving or hating it. I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase it and I am really glad I did!To preface this review I also own a Dyson Motorhead which I also love, but wanted the Tineco for a different area of the house. I thought some comparisons might be useful to some.Although I love the Motorhead, continually holding down the trigger was both seriously aggravating my tennis elbow and actually made my fingertip go numb! The Tineco has a switch which keeps the power on and has solved both these problems for me! The handle is a little more ergonomic with a rubberised grip too.One reviewer mentioned how thoughtfully engineered both the packaging and the design of the vacuum - I agree! I am pleased with all the tools that came with the vacuum (and there are more sold separately); I admit I was a little dubious about the hard floor head, but was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Areas beneath cupboards that I previously had to first dry mop as the Dyson didn't shift the dust (sorry Dyson) is no longer the case as the Tineco hard floor head whips it right up! It's surprising how well this head also works on carpet, however, the carpet head really excels! I really love the small motorised head too - it makes vacuuming our cat tower a breeze and it does it so well. All the corners can then be gone over with the pointed nozzle.I love the fact that the Tineco comes with two batteries rather than the Dyson single (and non-detachable) one. Often I would find the Dyson battery would leave me a room short on a vacuuming session; not the case with the Tineco! Some reviewers mentioned that the batteries didn't last long - I have had no problem with this; I simply made sure each one had a good overnight charge before I used them. One reviewer mentioned that this vacuum doesn't have much suction; I have not experienced this at all - quite the reverse - especially using the carpet head. The suction (on the normal setting) will lift the edge of my rug, and I have not found the need to increase this to the max setting!I am particularly impressed by the cleaning tool for the inner filter. The Dyson device has a similar filter and one is instructed to periodically rinse this under the tap - I do, but there never seemed to be anything worth rinsing to be honest. Now either this means that the dust was already in the main bin, or it wasn't filtering the dust as much as the Tineco...? Either way I was amazed when I decided to check the Tineco inner filter after the second session of vacuuming the whole house with the Tineco; it was coated in fine dust! I knocked most of this into the trash and used the cleaning tool for the remainder - great gadget!I have to say, the Dyson wins on emptying the dust chamber! I like that the mechanism easily pushes out the wad of dust and cat hair. The Tineco opens the bottom of the chamber but the wad of hair needs some encouragement to drop into the trash! I found it's easiest to empty it before it gets too full and jammed in; that way a quick shake or tap makes the waste drop out easily.I must admit the grey plastic stand is a little odd and I don't use it. You have to take the vacuum apart to house it in this stand, which is hardly convenient when you want to grab it for a quick clean up! I certainly prefer the Dyson gadget that attaches to the wall and simultaneously charges the battery. Additionally, the cupboard where I keep the vacuum et al is just a little too shallow to accommodate the stand anyway, so I am happy to keep the tools in the included drawstring bag and simply stand the vacuum in the cupboard ready to go.All in all I am very happy with the Tineco; I would (and have) recommend it to friends. I think it is very good value for money and feel that my house is cleaner for using it!

It is only a matter of time before this unit dies on you...
We paid $340 for this unit last year. We liked it so much we bought a second for our business.About one month after the warranty expired for the 1st unit, we noticed that the battery was no longer holding a charge. We have a 2400sf ranch so when the battery was new, we could vac the entire home with plenty of juice to spare. Well, I was now lucky if I could vac 1/2 of the house before the battery died. So I called customer service. They sent me a new battery. The new battery lasted all of 22 minutes before it died. The battery used to last me almost 40 minutes. But a few battery lasts for only 22 minutes??? I shared this with customer service but there was nothing else they were going to do for us and I have all of the emails to prove it. Ok, I get it, it's a cordless vac, the battery's are what they are. Time for me to move on.So you know, the battery charges while in the handheld unit and when inserted into a large charger that I installed on the wall. The battery stopped charging while in the unit and in the wall charger. So I took the battery out and placed it in the secondary charger on the wall unit. The battery now would charge but still only last for like 20 mins now. But what does that tell you?It tells me that the initial issue was with the hand-held unit. Maybe if that was changed out by customer service I would not be writing this review. Who knows. But it wasn't replaced. Only the battery was.So for a few months we charged the battery in the top section of the wall charger. And by doing this you are not able to insert the handheld unit into the wall charger. So we had to place the handheld somewhere else in the house while the battery charged. This was quite a mess but we did it.And then this week guess what? The top section of the wall unit stopped charging. Seriously, the entire unit is now junk. Well it always was junk, now its completely worthless. So now I'm out of vac. One that I paid $340 last year.So I started carting a home battery back and forth to work to charge in the work wall charger. Talk about a pain in the you know what, but I did it so we had a vac at home. And now get this. The battery for the work vac started to die a slow death. It worked on what I thought was a full charge but it only but it only lasted for all of 7 1/2 minutes before dying. So the home vac is dead as a door nail. The work vac is running a close second and its only a ammeter of time before that one is dead also.I could write so much but why bother. I just want the reader to know to move on from this vac and buy something else. I paid a total of almost $700 for two vacs. One is completely dead, the second is on its last leg. Not only did I purchase one lemon, I bought two. And so will you. Just give it time. Stay away from Tineco. You will thank me later.
