Masterplug BTN10-MP Two Socket Long Extension Lead, 10 Metres, White

This is a really good value product. It also has a non-moulded plug on it, so it is easy to shorten the cord if needed. My only comment is that it will only fit eight standard 3-pin plugs, so if you use it for any other kind of plug, such as charging plugs, the top of the plug will block access to the socket above, thus reducing the total sockets available. I didn't think of this when I ordered - but can't fault the item for this.

Absolutely superb! I bought it cause I was tired of having no plug in the loo and with this I was able to sort it out in a way that I could get them in the loo in a way that was convenient and space saving. Very pleased at how cost effective it was and arrived so quickly.

This was the best value quality 8 gang I could find on amazon. It is fab, nothing bad to say about it. The build quality is great and the plugs go in and out fine.

I've always used Masterplug extension leads since 2000 (i think, around then..), they are long lasting. Safe and reliable over time. And at this point I refuse to use anything inferior. I have a few electrician friends, one retired who worked in the trade 40 years, who say they are definitely the best brand when it comes to extensions. I've never used their heavy duty selection, but i'd imagine they are simply toughened versions of these designed for outdoor use in dry weather (though it seems they have general use outdoor ones too). The one thing I will say which is applicable for all extension leads is if your house is susceptible to damp/mould do check the contacts on the plug every now and again as you do not want them to become rusted. If they are rusted i'd get an electrician out to replace the front plate too. It's just basic home maintenance and safety. !!! Also make sure the little bit of cardboard covering the plug when you receive it is removed, this is a hazard and is only included to show you the wiring diagram for the plug. !!!

I needed to replace a Masterplug surge protected 8 gang extension because teh surge protection wasn't playing ball sometimes with my home plugs. After reading reviews of cheaper alternatives to this Masterplug extension I thought I'd stick with a brand I had good experience with in the past. This lead works as intended and is nice and compact compared to my MAsterplug surge protected extension. There are handy mounting screw holes on the rear which have 12 cm distance between the two. The plugs sockets are a little stiff but it's probably because it's new. I recommend this 8 gang extension lead. Forget the unknown brands, why risk your precious electronics to save a couple of £'s?
