Fix-A-Leak is a blended concentrate material designed to seal leaks in virtually any material. It can be applied to housing leaks and works equally well in plumbing. Fix-A-Leak will seal 1/8" diameter holes and form a permanent seal. Use 1 quart per pool up to 22,000 gallons. Do not use more than 1 quart per 5,000 gallons of water. Directions: Shake well before use. 1. Remove filter media before adding FIX-A-LEAK to water. Sand Filters: Set filter valve to recirculate. Other types: Remove element cartridges from filter tank. Then proceed to circulate through empty tank. 2. With pump running, add FIX-A-LEAK slowly through skimmer or in front of any other suction intake. 3. After adding FIX-A-LEAK adjust suction to main drain. If this is not possible, a vacuum cleaner could be used alternatively, simply by placing the vacuum in the deepest part of the pool and connecting to the normal vacuum connection. Set filter valve to normal vacuum position. 4. FIX-A-LEAK is very heavy and will sink to the lowest point fairly quickly. It must be agitated back into suspension either manually using a pool broom or mechanically with an automatic pool cleaner every 4-6 hours during water circulation. 5. Continue to recirculate the water until the leak has stopped. 6. Mark the water level in the pool and check for 2-3 days to determine if the leak has stopped. 7. After the leak has stopped and given proper time to cure (24-48 hours). You may return to normal filtration. Sand Filters: Set the filter valve to filter and resume normal operation. Backwash unused FIX-A-LEAK as needed. Other types: Reinstall the filter in the tank and resume operation. Rinse unfiltered FIX-A-LEAK from the filter as needed. *NOTE* Never let DE element cartridges dry out before cleaning. 8. Treatment may be repeated if necessary. *NOTE* Suction Line Leaks Suction leaks are usually known as air mixed with water in the return fittings. In most cases, suction lines are just leaking.

Stopped the leak
Works as described. Ended up using two bottles, but sure beat what the repairman wanted to attempt to find the leak in my Hot Springs Spa.

Works, yearly
Not a permanent t patch with changing temps and pressure over the year. Lasts me a year, take it slow, drain tub and clean after. It holds for a year consistently and is an annual project. Your pool guys will use the same thing but charge you $500.

Leak stopped
It's not a permeant fix, I have to add a new bottle each year. I have a pool for summer months, so I shut the hot tub down normally May, and start it back up October. After starting the hot tub, it leaks. So I add a bottle Fix -a-leak, following directions and the leak stops in 2-3 days. Our hot tub is 30 years old, and this product keeps it going for us. It does not affect the suction power.
