Beginner's Guide To Procreate: Characters: How to create characters on an iPad ®

Lots of great info, I tried to cover everything in my video without giving too much away. But this is perfect if you are a step by step person who likes visuals and in depth instructions.

I love using procreate it is the only drawing app that i have ever used. I jave always been looking for great book. I know it is a begginers guide to it and i alrealy know how to use it. But looking a this book i learn more things that i didn't know about. I am going to get the other beginners guide to procreate to see what other new things that i can learn about. This is a great book that i highly recommend it for beginners. This is also a great book for people who knows procreate and who want to learn if there is other things that they dont know about.

I’ll make this easy for you. This book is built with absolute quality. I’m not just talking about the physical build either. Quality in the thoughtfulness put into this book, along with the knowledge! Beautiful prints for the illustrations. Detailed information with the ease of use. My copy came with a slight bend, but I do not care about that! I bought this book to use, and by golly, I’m going to use it! It’s actually a pretty durable book (I can be rough on my art books).

this book is really quite well done. the first few chapters go over some of the basics of using procreate. the way they are able to demonstrate gestures in the instructions are well done. much of the book is really more about how to USE procreate and it is done well. the tutorials are great to see how others approach their process of using PC in tbe drawkng process. some of the artists and styles give a good variety of approaches artistically. the tutorials are varied but more on process. i wish it was more about character design but knowing how to use the artists tools is super important. i find myself using the book as a bit of a PC reference. the fact that you can download some of the sources is pretty cool. i ended up buying Creatjng Stylized Charactwrs from 3DTotal and this is a great companion that really gets into the nuts and bolts of character design. i'm just a hobbyist. at 56, i'll not ever really be able to out this to work in any way to earn a living. but it is certainly helping me have a lot of fun using PC to pretend i had gone down a different path in my life and pursuit a creative career. so ultimately this book is a big thumbs up. well worth it if you want to get off the ground jn learning PC given the creative context of character design. the print quality is quite good on good paper. yiu can tell they care about putting out a good quality product. for a print product, it does a good job of equipping one to learn PC with some examples of character design done by a variety of artists. note: i use PC on an iPad Air 4 with Apple pencil two.

I love 3D Publishing books. They're beautiful and VERY useful. This one answered every question I had about using Procreate to create characters. I'm a traditional artist just venturing into the digital world. It's very frustrating when you don't understand which button does what. This book not only explains all of the buttons and shortcuts and layers and masks, but every other digital trick. For instance what multiply does and how to use it or what an alpha mask is. Who knew? Not me, but now I do. I feel so empowered. The step by step tutorials give you the answers you need for your own work. No matter the genre or style. Very happy with this book.

This is a great book. I own the first one as well. I recommend to get both, procreate is full of surprise's and you will find a lot of information on each one of these.
