Worked well - low level of mites afterwards
I use this as a summer treatment, to alternate with oxalic acid (using only 1 treatment tend to build varroa mites that are resistant to that treatment over time. Alternative helps this). Any way, easy to use. When I did the oxalic acid treament in the fall afterwards I was surprised by the very low level of mites. Seems to work good. Watch out, this is hard on eggs and larvae, it says it can kill a bunch short them, so do not use on a hive that is trying to raise a new queen.

Formic works but watch the temperature
Formic Pro works but there are caveats for its use. It does provide a good mite knockdown, and they are easy to use. But temperature can be an issue for beekeepers in SoCal when our weather heats up. We are limited to winter and spring and very early summer. I have had queen issues. Several times I've had queen supercedure after use, losing purchased queens (ouch). But as it's a natural product I'll continue to use it.

Great for mite reduction
Purchased three NUCS and moved them into a 10 frame box in next week. I used Formic Pro as directed for a 99% mite kill rate.

Works. Follow directions
My husband applied one strip to each hive this past fall. We were worried of overdoing it and killing the bees like other reviews. We live in Michigan. A couple days ago he went and checked on them. They are still alive. It's December

Good price for a quality product.
I wish we did not need this but mites are a reality and these are needed to keep your hives healthy and alive. Our local Bee expert uses these as part of his operation and last year he only lost 1 of his 70 hives over the Winter. Obviously there is more to it, but these are a part of the solution.
