Maledictionary is a compendium of impolite and impolitic neologisms (new words) for The Dark Ages 2.0, The Neo Dark Ages, a period in which much of the world is under the heel of autocrats/dictators or leaders who aspire to autocrat status. Most of the neologisms in this book were conceived by John A. Barry, and Barry acknowledges other contributors to his book. Barry is author/co-author of a dozen books; the most germane to Maledictionary is Technobabble, Barry’s examination of the use/misuse/extra contextual use of computer jargon. In addition to approximately 1800 definitions, Maledictionary contains an essay about vowel-shifting, new definitions for some common acronyms, a couple of word quizzes, and other language-oriented items. Sean Barry illustrates the book..
