what is the maximum weight can the Kamprite double tent handle

Does this tent offgas much? I have the non-compact version of this (TB343) and it still smells like uncured material weeks after being set up outside

Allow me to elaborate on my own question.  I have model TB343 (the non-compact, double-sized version) of this tent-cot.It stinks of toxic-smelling fumes (improperly cured nylon?  formaldehyde maybe?) and has since I got it and set it up outside weeks ago.The black nylon parts are what smell.  Specifically the black nylon sleeping surface, some of the black nylon reinforcing straps on the tent walls, and the black nylon straps on the carrying bag.  The green nylon walls/roof and rainfly and the grey pad do not smell so much now that the tent has aired out.  The sleeping surface, reinforcing straps, and bag carrying straps still stink big-time.So does the compact version of the tent-cot (model DCTC343) stink much of toxic fumes?

has anyone used a self inflating pad vs an air mattress?

Yes, my wife & I have used the self inflating pad and we cannot say enough good things about it!  We've tented BC Canada, Yukon, Alaska & Pacific NW.  Using the inflating pad is almost as good as our Tempurpedic mattress at home, it's that good!!!  We've not complaints whatsoever with the he self inflating pad and know that there is no air mattress that could come close to providing the comfort we have enjoyed with the "pad".
