This adapter is very heavy duty. The mounting bolt appears to be 7/8 in. diameter. It was too large to mount in the hole of my Suzuki Quadrunner. Rather than enlarge the hole, I picked up a 3/4 in bolt, nut and lock washer from Lowes and made a sleeve to fit inside the hole in the adapter. I like the fact that this adapter has the "anti-rattle" bolt which similar items don't have. It also comes with the hitch pin. Some of the others don't. This is a beast compared to the others. Check out the listed weights TOPTOW: 7.81 lbs. Others: 3.1 lbs., 4.3 lbs. etc. Although the TOPTOW weight may include this hitch pin, it weighs less than half a pound.

IT COULD USE ANOTHER BOLT HOLE AND BALL TONGUE CLEVIS HOLES SO IT BE USED HORIZ0NTALLY OR VERTICALLY
HAVING ONLY ONE HOLE ALLOWS A HEAVY TRAILER TO TURN THE HITCH POINT IF MOUNTED ON A VERTICAL SURFACE. INCLUDING ANOTHER MOUNTING HOLE AND EXTENDING THE MOUNTING TAB TO ACCOMMODATE IT WOULD BE A GREAT ADDITION. I WILL WELD ON AN EXTENSION TO REMEDY MY UNIQUE APPLICATION REQUIREMENT. I ALREADY DRILLED CLEVIS HOLES TO ALLOW MY 2 INCH BALL TO BE MOUNTED ON A VERTICAL SURFACE.

Donโt buy this for use with Receiver Hitch Attachment for Tailgate Feeders.
Installed this on my ATV. Says it rate for 180 kg (396) lbs, tongue weight. Mine bent 1st trip with 50lb tailgate feeder full of deer corn using a Receiver Hitch Attachment for Tailgate Feeders. Built with cheap metal.

High-quality construction
Quality looks good for the intended use. I plan on mounting it on a golf cart to hold a reese hitch as needed.

Great
Worked fine on 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500. I added a 7" turnbuckle to support the flimsy metal on the Polaris by removing a frame bolt up high and replacing it with an eye bolt for the turnbuckle hook as seen on a youtube vid.
