These are great wireless accordion microphones
These work as accordion mics! Decent external wireless pickup mics for accordions are hard to find. Even though these are intended as lapel mics, they do the trick and sound good. The fact that the two transmitters go to a single receiver which requires no external power source is super convenient for many performance situations. You can use these with a battery powered amp/speaker and amplify your accordion wirelessly without requiring an electrical outlet at all – ideal for busking. The transmitters have a long range and can be used in strolling performances. In most cases, you will need an eighth inch to quarter inch adapter. For the keyboard side on a piano accordion, use velcro tape to attach one of the transmitters to the lower part of the grille, with the microphone pointing upwards. The high notes will be louder than the lower notes, but overall, the volume will sound more stable over the range of the keyboard than it would if you were to put the transmitter at the top facing down, or in the middle facing toward the keyboard. On the button side, thread a velcro strap through the clip of the other transmitter and strap it to the outer side of the bass strap, so the microphone is pointing upwards. Cut the velcro strap to shorten it if needed so it fits snugly around the bass strap. If you can find a black acrylic paint pen, I recommend painting over the blue lights on the transmitters; you’ll still be able to see the lights to know whether the transmitters are connecting, but they’ll be less glaringly bright on stage. You can use these mics for recording also, but it would only make sense to do so in a live performance setting. For studio recording, it would make more sense to use stationary mics. There are a few limitations to be aware of: 1) You cannot adjust the input gain, only the output gain. If there is noticeable distortion, there is no way to turn down the input gain, you’ll have to find a way to mount the transmitters differently. When I play on the bass side, the receiver indicates that there is some distortion, but it’s subtle enough that it probably wouldn’t be noticed in a performance setting. The sound quality is actually quite good. 2) You cannot adjust the volume of the two mics independently. If the keyboard side is too quiet, the only options are to mess with the EQ on the amp/speaker/mixer or to try adjusting the mic placement. 3) These mics are omnidirectional, which I think is idea for this kind of setup, but you’ll have to be extra careful about feedback issues. I only just finished setting up and testing these mics, with guidance from a sound engineer friend. haven’t used them in performance yet. I will update this review if I encounter any issues. So far they seem like a great option for accordionists to know about.

If your transmitters are not charging, they're not broken!
When I got my Wireless Go IIs, they were not charged out of the box, so I charged them for a couple hours and turned them on. Or, at least, I tried to. The receiver turned on and worked just fine, but neither of the transmitters would do the same. I noticed when I plugged them in, the blue light would blink, and then immediately turn off after a half a second. I looked high and low for an answer, and the included manual did not provide one. Lost and about to return the mics, I emailed Rode support, and they gave me the answer: 1. Download and install the Rode Central app for Windows/Mac 2. Go to the app settings, and press the button that says "Factory reset" 3. The app prompts you to unplug all Rode devices, and then only plug in the one you want to reset (one at a time) 4. Factory reset both of the transmitters. It should also update them to the latest firmware version during the rest 5. Now the transmitters will charge. I honestly did not think this would work. Usually, when the tech support line tells you to make sure your device is updated to the latest version, updating it never works or it's already the latest version. Turns out, my mics were literally two years behind on firmware updates. But, lo and behold, it worked. They instantly starting charging. Again, this is NOT information that is included with the package, it's something I and probably several other buyers had to figure out for themselves. Other than that, these mics are fantastic.

Would give it 0 stars if I could
Really a frustrating experience. I charged the transmitter/receiver for 5 hours prior for the first use (they're advertised to be fully charged in 2). After charging and trying to set up to film, neither the transmitter nor receiver would turn on. I did some research and learned it's apparently a very common problem for people with their new wireless go. There's an in depth way to reboot it that includes downloading additional software, so I did that. None of this is included on RØDE's website or their manual, I had to deep dive on reddit. Now that my device finally turned on I tried to film with my phone (connected with a cable they don't include) and was met with more difficulty. My phone wouldn't detect the device and was instead just using the built-in microphone. I couldn't troubleshoot this on my own so I reached out to RØDE customer service. After an unhelpful back and forth, they said it's because I wasn't using ~their~ cables to connect the devices (even though the cables I was using have worked for every electronic in the past). They directed me to RØDE website for the additional purchase, and at that point I gave up and returned it. For $220 it's inexcusable. I wish I could speak to the sound quality but I'll unfortunately never know!

This set has been a great value!
Bought this microphone set after being recommended by a friend. They have been a great value for what I paid. Recording quality is excellent as well as I’ve never had an issue with connectivity. I use them for recording a podcast as well as content.

Everything was great but may need a better case
Super compact easy to use. Everything is pretty self explanatory and battery life is great. Only recommendation if you do purchase this is you might want to get a case or some holder for them!

Remarkable Sound
I love the Rode Wireless GO II. The sound quality is super clear, and it's really easy to set up—even for someone who isn’t tech-savvy. The compact design makes it perfect for filming on the go, and the battery life easily lasts through long recording sessions. Definitely a solid choice if you're creating content and want reliable audio without a bunch of cables.

This version is not working properly and I keep having issues with the cables both for charging but also to connect them to my laptop. Seems to be an issue with this particular rode device.

Aunque me llego un poco más tarde de lo que yo lo quería, no me arrepiento para nada de la compra. Es una de las mejores cosas que he comprado, muy buena calidad de sonido y grabación.

We are SO impressed with these little mikes that we are considering breaking our duck and doing our first vlog describing how fantastic they are. We are a live event, DJ, event management, event decorating and production business. So kind of seen the video and photo people coming along with these little mike sets and laughed that they are obviously not "proper". So eventually we succumbed and got our first set last week and have already used them twice. They are incredible. So versatile. Have reasonable quality and can even be used directly into a live mixing desk or recording setup. There is a lot to these little mikes. So let me give you just the highlights. - they really work at 200 metres line of sight and have a great range even where there is lots of other 2.4GHz traffic - they are tiny and can be made even tinier by using the Rode Lavalier Go - we bought a white and a black one - the transmitters can record without any connection to the receiver. Just standalone recorders. They can also record when the receiver is connected to avoid any loss of audio if you are going to use the result in post production rather than live. - they charge fairly quickly from pretty much any USB charger (B or C) - there is free software available on teh Mac and PC to fully control all the options for both the transmitters and receivers. This software also facilitates getting the recordings from the transmitters to the big bad world ready to go into Premier Pro or the like. - there is also software to make them work with iPhones but BEWARE that is not straightforward and you need a certified apple cable that supports Audio over the lightning connector. Rode make a couple of different types of these cable but they are currently out of stock. - the receiver can be plugged into not only your video camera but also into a mixing desk, focusrite, DJ controller and many more places. It is of course not giving you a "proper" XLR connection but you will have to use a TRS mini jack to XLR or similar cable. But .... it works! - the quality is fine - they are not up there with the higher end lapel mike systems, but for most corporate/wedding event production they are perfectly adequate. So, for just over £300 plus another £100 for a pair of lavaliers and maybe £50 for a case and extra cables you will end up with a VERY useful addition to your audio line up which can be used for live work, video blogging, livestreaming, ad hoc recording and even note taking when with a client. AMAZING Thanks Rode. I thought you were all about teh NT and NTG ranges of mikes and these were just "toys". I was very wrong. - they are small enough to keep in your pocket or if packed in a case, in your laptop case. If ever you "forget" your Shure SM58 wireless for example then these can fill in. If there is a last minute request to "record" the speeches then you can at least get broadcast quality audio which you can later match up with a mobile phone video or small format video camera. Which in emergencies is probably more than good enough. Criticisms: Of course we can criticize these when comparing to more expensive pro live equipment and some people have not liked the fact that you have to take recordings from teh transmitters one by one and label them after they land in the computer pre production. Some do not like the fact they are rechargeable and you cannot take spare rechargeable batteries (but they last at least 5 hours continuously on). Some do not like the fact that they are not really smooth with the iPhone and you have to have the "special" Rode cable. we have even seen criticisms about having to get separate USB charger(s). we have also seen some criticisms about teh headroom on the signal being such that they do not do well for loud recordings. This is all true and largely insignificant. In fact there are legitimate workarounds for pretty much all of this. All these things can be got around. We are looking to try one of the Go 2 customer chargers that can store and charge all three components whilst out in the field without ANY other power. We will definitely be buying more of these kits next week and are looking forward to being able to improve our services to our clients and third party suppliers. Never lose an audio recording. Never be caught short without a mike. Dont give up quality to keep these things in check. Thanks Rode. You are great. AGAIN. MusicZon

Absolutely amazing devices with a useful number of user options - from direct USB support (as an external USB microphone) to an analogue input via 3.5mm TRS stereo jack. When the receiver used as USB microphone, the 3.5mm jack becomes a headphone monitoring jack. The transmitter/microphones also support an external 3.5mm TRS lavalier microphone or similar. Very well made and unbelievable audio quality! They may seem expensive, but the audio quality, connectivity options, size and flexibility certainly validate the discounted price paid. The RØDE Central companion software makes these devices a winner in many circumstances! Well done RØDE and Harris Technology.
