Nature's Way Bird Products CWF2 Cedar Suet Upside-Down Bird Feeder

Feeder works fine, easy to use. I had purchased on early but saw it was on sale here, so I picked up a bunch more. I moved it a few times and it did take a bit for the wild birds to figure the feeder out. I eventually put seed on the ground underneath the feeder first and I think that was necessary to get them to discover this new feeder. It is a roll of the dice on how quickly birds will come to any new feeder, and depends on how bird friendly your backyard is, I suppose. The wood is kind of lightweight; use common sense and spray the roof part that faces away from the suet with a sealant, and then hang it under your roof eaves or use a baffle to protect it from the rain and squirrels. I saw a number of comments about how this feeder doesn't hold up in the weather; it just seems obvious that they don't have much experience with wood. [If the roof cracks, just fabricate your own with some cedar planking at the hardware store. It shouldn't be hard, the roof comes off very easily] I hung this feeder under roof eaves next to my dining room window. Chickadees are fearless so they don't mind it being so close to the house. The nuthatches took longer to get used to it, but they observe the chickadees and follow them. I replace the suet cake about every 2-3 weeks or so. This winter, when they will really need it, I'll put up a couple more of these feeders. It's the right size for chickadees and nuthatches but might be too small for a woodpecker. I have tubular mesh feeders away from my house, and my woodpeckers are fine with those, so I didn't need this feeder to cater to them.

Hängt bei mir seid fast 2 Jahre. Specht und Meisen lieben ihn . Und die Krähen kommen endlich nicht mehr an das Futter und fressen alles innerhalb weniger Stunden leer. Vor zwei Monaten missgebildet das Gitter neu befestigen , ging aber mit etwas Geschick problemlos. Leider ist er gerade nicht erhältlich. Ich wollte einen Zweiten aufhängen.

Great feeder Suet blocks fit perfect

After trying a number of different feeders to out smart squirrels. It turns out they don't like to hang upside down to get access to the suet. The feeder is well made, has easy access to place the suet cake, easy to hang, all round great feeder!

Wird gut angenommen. Futtertafel passen gut rein. Leere Kunststofftafeln kann man selbst befüllen- passt 👍
