Anyone used this in a fire? Does it hold up?

Yes, it does incredibly well. I have used it in car fires, structural fires, and also used it multiple times in the Burn Building. I have not had one issue with it.Additionally, I have read around on the internet, that Fire Cam has great customer service. So if anything does fail, there is a good chance they will rectify the issue. Hope this helps!

Can this be mounted to a kevlar helmet?

I don't see why it wouldn't. Its attaches to Fire helmets of all shapes and designs.
