Privacy Without Losing Natural Light
I was looking for a way to add privacy to my home without blocking the beautiful natural sunlight (or my cats’ favorite window views) and I think I’ve found the perfect solution! This window film features alternating frosted and transparent stripes that can be applied either horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference. The installation was surprisingly easy. Everything you need is included except for water and a spray bottle, which most people already have at home. The film cuts easily with regular kitchen scissors, and each window took me less than 10 minutes to finish. Tip: Clean your windows thoroughly before applying! Any dust, lint, or pet hair will show through once the film is up. The included edge tool works great for smoothing out air bubbles and tucking in any extra film around the window frame giving a clean, professional finish. I’m very happy with how this turned out. Great quality, easy to use, and it looks fantastic. Highly recommend!

Very happy with this
Easy to install and makes the room just seem more classy. I think I’ll buy more of this pattern for other windows. It still lets sunlight in but provides privacy.

Easy to apply.
would give 5 stars but when it is cold some of the edges tend to turn loose. I got this to put in the pains of my French doors that are in my bedroom for privacy. It actually works pretty good unless it's cold that do not want to stick and if that's the case while you're trying to apply them use a hair dryer. other than that they work great

Awesome Must Buy
Quite easy to apply. It looks very expensive on the window, it also looks elegant. I love the way they look on the windows and how the sun and night sky glances through! I’ll probably do the rest of my windows as well.

Easy install, looks cool.
I used this privacy film on some windows that I wanted to get some privacy in, but also be able to see out. Also, the cats really like looking out the windows so the view can’t be 100% blocked. The clear stripes are 1/4 of an inch and the frosted stripes are 3/4 of an inch. ( the product page gave the metric size of 1 cm and 2 cm respectively). This privacy film is the perfect balance. Filters light ( frosted stripes) and you can see out if the thinner, clear stripes. Very easy to use. I’ve read reviewers that said there was no backing and the film slid off when applied. That’s incorrect. There IS a backing, it’s thin and clear and can easily be missed. . It says in the directions that you need tape to separate it from the film. This is correct and easily achieved with a little patience. Recommend using a utility knife, a straight edge, and clamps to clamp the film to the edge of a work bench to hold it in place. To get a nice clean cut, I put a piece of pressed cardboard on the bench so the cut would be clean, keeping the blade in the utility knife nice and steady. Once I had my cuts, I separated backing from the film, I used a spray bottle with water and a drop of dish soap, sprayed the window, the affixed the film where I wanted it. You can move it around easily to get it just right. Then, I used a little craft squeegee that has a felt end, and got the water and bubbles out. After that, I gently rubbed the area with a small towel. The film edheres well, and it looks great weather it’s sunny or cloudy. A nice amount of light comes through without neighbors being able to see in. You really have to be up close, looking inside ( or outside) to see clearly through the Clear stripes . Nice quality product, easy to use. Recommend. I’ve attached phots from indoors and outside.

Don’t bother
In comparison to the reflective shade film I got at Walmart, this one is such a waste of money. The Walmart one blocks far more sunlight. It also stays on the window without adhesive. Installing it is dead easy as long as you measure the window and trim to size before putting it up. This one needs to be adhered to the window. It’s a sticker after you pull off the protective film. An incredibly thin, sticker that is bound to stick to itself in the process of installation, resulting in lots of creases. You might be thinking, “Well, maybe you just put it on wrong? Didn’t follow the instructions?” The first time I screwed up the adhesive from it sticking to itself. The second time I was methodical about it. I clung it to the window using just water to see if it would stay — it didn’t. The corner started lifting within a couple hours. I started unpeeling the protective film from the top right corner, just enough to get it to stick to the window in its already aligned position. Then I slowly peeled all across the top, again just enough to get the top edge to stick. The idea being that if I just slowly peeled the rest of it, it would 100% be smooth and aligned. Once I got the top edge down, I sprayed the window with water per the directions it came with and started peeling. Simultaneously while peeling, I had a squeegee making sure it was going down evenly. The water got trapped in the film instead and the film is so thin that trying to squeegee it out actually creased it permanently. It’s also so thin that it was entirely not aligned by the middle point because of how flimsy and bendy it is. Maybe it would’ve worked better if I hadn’t followed the instructions with the water? I’m keeping them up for now cause it’s better than nothing. Once the non-adhered ones fall off, I’ll be picking up more film at Walmart.

Darn Good Window Film
I found this to be a durable vinyl film that adheres well and has just the right balance of design elements for a quality window covering. After a month, the film still looks great and shows no separation in any part of the film. As for the reviewers who complained about detached parts, I suggest a closer look at the slip being used and also the preparation. This film was applied to my sliding glass doors separating living room from enclosed back porch. I was diligent about cleaning the glass thoroughly--ammonia-based cleaner and scrubby sponge and a good squeegee, followed by a water wipe/squeegee. The glass must be very clean, free of any debris and/or cleaning solution. Doing that gave me a clean base for applying the film. This is just basic for any film preparation. For my slip, I used a clean repurposed spray bottle (24 fl oz) filled with the following ingredients: Filtered water, a tablespoon of baby shampoo, a half-teaspoon of dish detergent, and a quarter-teaspoon of baking soda. Shaken well, also allowing the baking soda to dissolve thoroughly. Then the application (thick towel at the bottom to catch/hold fluid): Generous spray of slip on the glass, separate the film, more spraying of slip, apply the film, spray the film generously and slide it all into place; use squeegee to remove slip and bubbles, using a credit card to remove any remaining fluid from the edges and corners. Since this film has distinct ridges, extra care is needed to be sure that all bubbles are removed to the sides and fully eliminated. When fully dry, the only other step might be a wipe down with water and a damp sponge. Then just enjoy.

Looks nice but a few issues along the way
Ordered 2 rolls of the privacy frosted stripes to be used vertically on some sliding doors. The birds kept hitting my doors and regular decorative window clings were not helping! The rolls arrived in great condition, no issue with shipping. Edges will not stay down and I have kept wetting the window and reapplying the corners. It is possible that the way I used it, in one big sheet, was a lot to ask of the rolls. I have painter's tape up to keep it flat at each corner but I might have to hide some clear packaging tape along the cling. My other issue is that the rolls were not cut the same. One looks to be even and centered with the cuts being between the frost stripes, while the other roll is cut right down the stripe on each side. If you were using these for a big project, this would be a huge problem with consistency as the stripes would look very different and not match! Unfortunately, I did not notice this until I finished putting the decals up and I do not want to do the aligning again. It's a nice looking product and I am keeping it up for now, but I would not buy this again. Serves a purpose for a reasonable price.

Good Quality
Looks great. I had put up another brand of this type of film and it was too frosted and thick. This one is sleek and just enough frost to buffer the view. Installed this Niviy film on the side windows of the front entrance door and it looks so good. Easy to install.

Very pretty
I had wanted the film to go horizontal then I realized it was not long enough so I had to go vertical as seen on the left. Although it does look nice, this is our bay window in the kitchen that brings in a lot of light, which I love and I really wanted something that would be a bit wider to let more sunlight in and be able to see into the backyard. with the see-through stripes being so narrow it’s very difficult to see outside so not what I was looking for. But it is a very nice film. I would definitely recommend for someone that’s looking for more privacy, I will definitely use this film in our en suite bathroom, The front door to our veranda on the second floor, And perhaps the front door to our backyard. As those are places that I don’t need a lot of sunlight To come in or I necessarily have to see outside a lot. Very easy to install, Easy to cut and easy to trim Would definitely recommend
