This is the lap stand you need.
Awesome product. Very comfortable on your lap for hours at a time. The fan keeps the laptop cool. Study yet pretty light weight. The padding is soft yet sturdy. I love that you can adjust the stand to your liking. The laptop doesn't slide at all and keeps its position. I have not used the mouse pad attachment yet but it does seem to be sturdy as well. You can just slide it in and out and hide it when not in use. Great functionality and concept. Well worth the investment.

BUY IT! It does everything!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This thing was the absolute best purchase! It does everything I was looking for in a lap top table. It has a usb cooling fan, adjustable angle and height, a mouse pad holder and the bottom has a memory foam padding that’s also removable so you can wash it or just leave it off. It was perfect for playing The Sims for hours at a time. Also it’s built really well and very sturdy!

It works for me
I am taking a coding boot camp currently and am on my laptop everyday for hours upon hours. I sit on the couch to take the class and do homework. It works and it is comfy. I love the mouse area and always use it. I love the padding on the bottom it is honestly more comfortable than I thought it would be by looking at it. Love using the fan to help keep my laptop cool and if you want while in use you can store a USB hub between the desk part and the lap part allowing for more USB ports. However I don't put it away at night so I like using this area for storage and it works great. However, as someone else mentioned it is not easy to put away. If you are looking for quick whip out and quick put away DO NOT BUY this lap desk. If you are looking for comfort, user friendly while in use and leaving everything out, go for it.I did give it 4 stars for sturdiness; the reason for that is because I feel that if the desk is left on the floor and the mouse pad area is stepped on it would break pretty easily. I know it is not meant for this, but sometimes mine does end up on the floor and when it does I do put the mouse pad area away for that reason.

Great product
Great product. Cools the laptop very nicely, is easily movable, and the adjustable top gives plenty of options for angling the laptop. It's an easy transition from table to lap when a position change is needed.

As good as it gets
I have a 2021 12.9” iPad Pro with a Magic Keyboard which is perfect for writing on a desk and my lap; in fact, I prefer it to my MacBook Pro. But it’s no good when I spend a couple of hours a night reading and writing in bed. The Magic Keyboard isn’t that stable in bed and, because the keyboard angle cannot be adjusted, it makes it difficult to type and to see the screen properly.I spent a long time examining dozens of laptop stands before settling on this. I could not find one product that offered all the features this has. Sure, it cost more than I would have liked, but it has become essential to my work, so it’s worth it.It has, for me, the best of all worlds: It’s well designed and made, as well as sturdy. It can incline the keyboard up to a 30-degree angle which makes typing and viewing the screen ideal. It has plenty of padding underneath which makes it comfortable to use for hours, and it has some bonus features — a USB-powered fan (I don’t need this for the iPad, but it will appeal to laptop users) and a side tray for a mouse or other items. My only issue is the size. It’s pretty bulky when you set it up, but that’s because of the thick padding and the steep incline. It's also probably heavier than other stands, but that's understandable considering the extra features, such as the fan and the mouse pad. One other bonus, you can detach the padding if you want to use the stand on a desk.I may not use all of those features, but it suits my needs perfectly.Bottom line: If I need to buy another laptop stand, I'll choose this.

Well made, just not right for me
I order this as an upgraded replacement for MaxSmart's smaller lapdesk, but it turned out to be overkill in all the wrong ways. I did not think it through clearly.Big - a little too big. I have a tiny laptop, but also need to accommodate armchair clearance. The padded bottom - very nice, and about the only thing I really wanted to add in regards to the old design. It raised the laptop up to a perfect working height for me.USB fan - always good to provide more cooling, but I only have one USB port on my laptop, and I'm using it for my trackball. I didn't try out the fan so can't speak as to how well it worked or how quiet it was.The mouse pad is a 'pull it out and attach it' design, for either left or right hand (I'm a lefty so I appreciate that very much), but the other design allows you to decide how far to pull it out, and I usually only have it wide enough to hold my trackball. It made the overall shape much wider and threw me off in terms of where I sat. The desk wasn't quite wide enough to hold both the laptop and the trackball - mostly because of the curved shape. Also, because the desk was deeper and wider, it really changed where my trackball was located, and I found it uncomfortable. The wrist rest/laptop angle holder - it kept the laptop in place, but the narrow design pressed very uncomfortably against my wrists. Other comments said it was removable, but because my laptop was also smaller, it sat between the vertically placed rubber sections on the desk face, and there was nothing to keep it from sliding.I did not think this product was heavy at all, and the handle made it easy to move around. I also liked how neatly the accessories fit inside - there was a place to hold the mouse pad and a nice design to accommodate the USB cable for the fan. You might also be able to tuck in some note paper and a pen/stylus if necessary.I was disappointed, because it looked and felt like a luxurious item to own and I wanted to treat myself. I returned the desk and ordered the smaller one again, with the intention of making a small pillow to put underneath.
