Does the job but expensive for what it is

Great storage shelves to free up more space in the cupboard. Easy to assemble. Would recommend.

I have tried various Joseph and Joseph products, some are ingenious, while others are hit and miss, this one is mostly great with one design flaw. This expanding shelf is great for adding the storage space if you lack one, e.g. in flats, however, the execution is a bit lacking as the shelf feels flimsy. The only way to prevent it from being flimsy is to use it in a cupboard, as it is intended, so it is supported from both sides, however, since it expands up to 38 cm it may not be supported in some cupboards which can be a bit problematic. Given this shelf is expandable and it lacks any locking mechanism, it is easy to adjust, so it is not very sturdy and can retract if you tap it from the sides, which is not ideal. It would have been great if they added some locking mechanism to make it a bit stiffer.The shelf is 23 centimetres in length when collapsed and 38 centimetres when fully expanded so it should be able to fit a lot of items, we placed 20 small and 2 big spice jars on the fully expanded shelf and we still have room for more.Overall, I like this product although it is a bit flimsy, it looks stylish and is adjustable, although a bit short even when fully expanded. The price of £15 feels like a good value for the material and warranty you are getting. It is definitely worth giving it a try, as it could be a good solution for most needs.

This is a great little shelf, and has more uses than you might think… It can easily be used in a cupboard to facilitate extra storage, and can ‘stretch’ to accommodate a range of sizes. It could also easily be used on a kitchen counter as a pice rack or similar. I have discovered that when in the closed position it is an almost perfect fit for the iPad Magic keyboard, enabling me to follow recipes on my ipad with perfect ease - a surprise bonus!

It’s not stable, wobbles all the time, and doesn’t feel safe to put the glasses on top of it. Because of the design of the metal parts, it’s not helping to save much space as well

We have a few Joseph Joseph products in our home and are happy with them all so far. This one is no exception. It’s not the biggest cupboard storage expander on the market but it joes the job intended with no fuss or issues. It’s 25.5cm in length when not expanded and opens up to a maximum of 40cm when fully extended. The wire legs are slim but strong so you can place everything you may need under or on the unit with no problem. Depth wise it won’t hold more than 2 standard sized tins but you can still stack multiples on top if you cupboards permit upwards builds (stacked on top of each other). I wouldn’t say it’s the prettiest thing to look at but then again it doesn’t need to be. Does what it says and means I’m not balancing multiple tins. Good solid offering from a reputable brand.

I quite like this fold out Cupboard Store shelf Expansion from Joseph and Joseph.I have been able to fit it quite nicely in 1 of my kitchen wall units and as you can see from my picture accompanying my review I have been able to fit quite a lot of stuff on it and under it.It has turned a completely disorganised space into a more refined area.I can now locate my kitchen products more easily.The expanding shelf has a lip on it,so jars stored on it are less likely to accidentally fall off of the edge.The legs are made of stainless steel and the shelf from plastic.Easy to fold back up in compact form if not in use.The unit is sturdy enough providing you do not overload it.One reviewer was complaining about it being flimsy.I am happy with it as it has helped transform my cupboard space.Happy to award 5 Stars.
