So far so good. It only has about 1 hour of intermittent service but it works well and is "very bright". I installed this in the Dometic refrigerator in our RV Camper to replace the glass tubular incandescent bulb (42mm 214-2 Festoon Bulb). The stock bulbs would burn out on every other trip. I am hoping the LED replacement will last longer. In the refrigerator, the LED lights up the entire space with a bright white light. At night, it illuminates the entire camper. The LEDs are on one side of the little circuit board and there is a heat sink on the other. This makes the lamp give off a "directional" light. The original bulbs would give off a more even "golden" colored light. There is a plastic diffuser cover in the fridge that goes over the lamp so it works out OK. Overall. I like the LED replacement. I have no way of accurately testing the 400 Lumens, but I can say that it is uncomfortable to look directly at the uncovered lamp. I call that "very bright". Some other comments say it gets hot enough to catch fire. I left the door open for about 5 minutes to see if the heat sink would get hot. It did feel slightly warm, but no where near hot enough to catch fire. It is being powered by a 12V battery. Maybe something like Amazon B00B8593GS would put off a more "even" light, but those are only rated at 240 Lumens. I am guessing they cannot produce the same output since there is no room for a heat sink. I am giving the product 5 stars for now. I will update if anything changes after a few trips. The dome lights of my 1990 BMW 325iX was so dim it was like using two candles to light up the interior of the car. I replaced both of the festoon bulbs. The dome lights are so bright it is like daylight now. I wonder how I managed all those years with such dim dome lights. The festoon bulbs are of the correct length and similar in dimension girth-wise. There are some heat sinks to the back of the LEDs. So it is a bit bigger than the original bulb. My car has ample space in the light compartment. The back of the light compartment in my car is the metal roof of the car! So I am not at all concerned over heat dissipation as some other reviews suggest. If I had a choice, I would prefer the color temperature to be a bit warmer. It looks like 5000k just as the specs says. It would be better if it were 3000k. I am just glad the light output looks white and does not have a blue or purple tint to it. Overall, I am very happy with these bulbs!

OK, I was skeptical of the amount of light touted by others in the Reviews. I installed these in my 2018 Dodge Challenger and now don't understand what I did without them. I will say that when I first installed the bulbs (without the OEM shields since they are not necessary with these cool-running bulbs) they were so bright they were almost comical. I endured the brightness for a few days and told myself I would remove them the following weekend or rotate them in their connectors to reduce at least some of the light. But I actually got accustomed to the extra light and now I would not consider changing them. In the Challenger, the driver's and the passenger map lights are close together and intended to illuminate the center console. Knowing what I know now, I am considering using one of these for the passenger side only, and then installing a red version for the driver's side. That way the driver has the option to use either white or eye-friendly red light when extra light is called for while driving or stopped -- just an idea but it makes good sense. Again, these are cool-running so OEM heat shields can be removed for best directional light.

2004 Dodge Ram 1500, Regular Cab, 4WD, 5.7 Hemi The 41mm length fit both my two map lights as well as the dome light over rear window. The two map lights were OEM #212-2 and the dome light was OEM #578. These 41mm SeriusLED festoon style bulbs fit in both locations although I had to pinch the retainers a bit in the dome to make a snug fit. I love the high brightness ( see photos) but did notice the loss of one function as noted below: * LED's come on as usual when a door is opened. * LED's dim down and then off as usual when door is closed. * LED's can be turned on without a door being opened as ususal by using the thumb wheel on the lights control. * LED's DO NOT turn on by simply pushing the lens as before. They do however turn off by a lens push. * No discernable noise * Dim-down then off feature works acceptably with only a slight choppyness at the end. * NO lamp out error messages * I can finally see inside my dark cloth cab. Overall I'm delighted with these LED replacements so far.

Direct replacement for my 2012 Toyota Tacoma roof courtesy light. Power use is 155ma (2 watts) versus the stock tungsten light 790ma (10 watts). Uses less power, runs much cooler, and it's brighter. Color is bright white (almost blue), which might bother some, but it's fine with me. Looks like high quality- mounted to a tiny aluminum heat sink circuit board, with good quality soldering of power & control electronics. Looks like it should last much longer than the old school tungsten bulb it replaces, but only time will tell. If you accidentally leave your door ajar, this bulb will not run your battery down overnight. Very nice. Good value- I would recommend it.

Fit My 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 4X4 Quad Cab. 5.9 Cummins. 3 Map Light Bulb's. Just as easy to install as the factory one's. Night and Day difference. You can angle the bulb's to give more light to rear, or left and right side's. I've been doing some wiring inside the truck. Had a hard time seeing, with stock bulb's. Had to use a plug in Led light a have to see what I was doing. With these SIR IUS LED 578 light bulb's, they light up the interior so much better. I angled the rear center bulb, more to the rear, so any passengers in the rear seat can see better. Angled straight down didn't throw much light back there. They turn off when you push on the lens and turn off on dimmer switch. Longevity I guess time will tell. I wish they sold them in a pack of 3. Have spare one, could be a good thing. I have a GTR Lighting LED Bulb, White 44mm Loop-Connection Narrow Panel Type Festoon. Coming for under hood light. Should be a Night and Day difference to.

Product says it fits my 2013 Toyota Tacoma cab light, and it did, but both LED bulbs died within 1.5 years of purchase (total for both bulbs). OEM bulb lasted 11 years… they are bright, but did not last nearly long enough for an LED bulb.

Application: 2010 Chrysler 300 Touring. Wanted to update the interior lighting in this vehicle. The problem is that these LED bulbs remain illuminated when the dimmer switch is moved past or below the first upper detent. With OE bulbs installed and moving the dimmer switch past the first upper detent, this turns the overhead map lights off and the instrument cluster backlighting is at full brightness and can be adjusted to lower the brightness. The LED bulbs do the complete opposite. The LED bulbs stay illuminated past the first upper detent. This makes adjusting the instrument cluster backlighting useless as I'm not able to dim the backlight because the LED bulbs continue to stay on until I turn the dimmer off. It says in the product description that these bulbs are canbus error-free, so I'm stumped. Three stars because although these bulbs are very bright and installation was not that difficult, it was frustrating to find out these bulbs did not work as anticipated, despite the fact that it says they'll work with my vehicle.

Very happy with this product. I have been using this for almost a week in my 2005 dodge magnum sxt to replace the front map lights and back hatch lights (along with the 10 pack of the 3030 chipset from SiriusLED for the lights above the rear doors and the license plate). The interior of the vehicle has never been brighter. I can clearly see the radio and climate controls and can read without straining my eyes. Highly recommend this product if you are looking to brighten up the interior of your car. Price is also good for the quality you get. For those wondering how they can fit inside the metal clips since the metal base of these lights is slightly smaller than the stock lights: either use pliers to bend the metal bands of the clips around the base of the lights or use zip ties to tighten the clips around the base of the lights.
