I'm a really picky shopper, so I always do my homework before buying something. I needed a wide brimmed hat with the neck protection flap for hiking out here in the southern California desert and all I gotta say is that this hat is perfect! I don't like the sun on my face or neck and wearing this hat is like wearing an umbrella. When we were on our hike the sun was directly overhead and strong and no face or neck skin was exposed on me or my friend that I bought one for also. It was also pretty windy and having the string on the hat kept it from blowing off our heads. The quality of it is really nice and its light weight too. Another plus is that it had a tag that said it was rated at 100 UPF. I have another friend that wants one too after trying mine on. I would recommend these hats to anyone. UPDATE: the chin strap string tore apart from the hat on one side but really not a big deal at all cause it has plastic loops on the left and right side where you can retie it to and it works just fine again.

This hat provides amazing coverage from the sun. It is very lightweight and flexible, so you can pack it really tight in a backpack.Prepare to get people’s attention. Because of the big size, it will make you look funny!

Would have been 5 stars but the clasp for under the chin broke. LOVE this hat, i use it when I am doing HVAC work on a roof, or when it starts to rain ( this + a rain coat keeps your face dry). Now i have to use the strap and hook it on a button on my shirt since strong winds are normal in my area.

It's every bit as big and dorky as it looks. The brim is wide and deep, and the panel down the back has more than adequate coverage on the back of my neck. I think the material is going to be cool in the sun, and plan to use it for setting up at our camping event in a few weeks.

It is perfect !! Just what I needed. I have some precancerous spots on my nose and the Dr. has me using a cream twice a day. This cream I am guessing has some kind of acid in it. I have to use it for 2 to 3 weeks. It makes the skin very red. I must stay out of the sun. That is why I got this hat. It is very nicely made and the price is very fair.

Got this hat, it's great. It covers my entire face and neck from the sun. I've let it sit around the house in various places for a while now, sometimes in awkward positions, and it's retained its shape perfectly without folding or bending. Would buy again

Great sun hat, even fits larger heads. Can adjust the size with a pull string. Has a chin strap to help keep in on when windy. There are vents which if you really don't want any sun on your head, the sun can shine through. All in all a great sun hat.

Excellent hat, it's the only hat I can find that fits my huge head all other brands have been too small and tight, large wide brim, long back flap, machine washable, it's perfect.
