I like this box mainly because it has room for wiring and dimmers. It is a very sturdy box that is 3 1/2” deep so wiring can be tucked into the rear and leaves adequate room in the front for 2 dimmers, GFI’s , or fan speed controls such as Lutron’s Skylark model.

I was using 8 gauge wire for my level 2 EV charger. The larger than standard size made it very easy to complete the installation. As my garage is a metal building I fastened it to my studs with pop rivets. Worked perfect and very sturdy.

Sturdy and deep enough for a 14-50R. The small holes line up with the holes on a Hubbell outlet. I used the 4 screws that the outlet came with and it feels solid.

Used this for an old work Nema 14-50 install. Solid box with good cu-in capacity inside. You do need to get a ground screw/pigtail, but the box has a threaded hole.I wish the price stays reasonable, but I can understand the demand for such a well-built box.

This box was perfect to accommodate the depth and size of the Hubbell 9450A. It gives ample room to manipulate the 6/3 "romex" to fit in the box without being cramped or causing issues getting the plug screwed in.

Loved having the extra space to wrangle 6 gauge wires for my NEMA 14-50 outlet. Especially important if you buy one of the deeper, industrial grade 14-50's (which you should for EV charging). Cut a hole in my drywall adjacent to a stud, dropped in the wires, and drove a couple of screws diagonally from this box into the stud. Easy, clean installation.

Deepest 2-gang box you will find. Perfect for NEMA 14-50 for car charger or 14-30 for dryer, lots of room for the thick wires inside
