VERY disappointing.
The website description for this product said it is designed for off road surfaces and be fairly easy to pedal for kids on rougher terrain. I purchased two of these for my kids with the BFR3 system. For the price paid, they are HUGELY disappointing. They are OK for smooth and level surfaces, although it takes a lot of leg strength to get them up to speed. While they are well built and heavy (over 100 pounds), because of the quality of operation, they are a very poor investment. We live in a very hilly area with few level surfaces, and because they are nearly impossible to pedal at even a slight incline, my kids have already lost interest in them. One of the worst investments I have made. Before purchasing them, I would recommend a demo at one of the Berg dealers that would allow one. I regret not making the 4 hour trip to try one first, because then I would never have purchased.

Kids love it. Nice upgrade to their Berg buddy.It takes an 8 year old or older. (Yes a 6’3” 300# person can ride it.)
