I staged a home for a family Christmas (2024). The client wanted to have a traditional sit down dinner with a dozen of his family members. The table was set with a beautiful tablecloth, Christmas china, gleaming flatware, wine glasses, the works. It was a candle light dinner with hurricane lamps, candle lit wall sconces, and beautiful brass candle holders on the long dinner table. The 7 inch smokeless/dripless candles became a dilemma when they wouldn't stay firmly in their holders when I was doing a "dry run set-up". Thinking I was going to have to replace all the candles and or candle holders (expensive), I found this product on Amazon.ca for under $10. You don't require very much of it. Just place a small dap on the bottom of your candle and stick in. Stays in place the whole time yet not difficult to remove when you want to replace the candle. Great product! No need for gimmicks or tin foil or the mess of melting your candle wax into the holder. Battery operated candles are a great option for avoiding accidents/fires, granted. But the glow of real ambiance and beauty comes from real lit candles. It was perfect.

I discovered Stick-Um on a visit to Canada years ago, and always wondered what I'd do when the tin ran out. It's one of those things which is so innocuous yet actually makes quite a difference, and sometimes life's too short: If you've ever tried to stick a candle onto a holder using its own wax you'll know what I mean. I never thought of checking on Amazon until recently, as it hadn't crossed my mind that this slightly arcane product would be available online, but obviously I'm very glad it is! Stick-Um is like a sort of extremely sticky wax; just soft enough to be malleable and strong enough to hold up a candle using only a pea-sized blob. It might not seem to be that cheap, but it lasts for ages and there doesn't seem to be anything else quite like it -
