Q: Is this a genuine Herm Sprenger? Where is the tag with the red dot?

This collar is a sprenger but I would not buy it. If you look at the picture at the top, the center plate connects the two sides going down to the latch. My collar does not have that center plater but has a chain connecting the two sides. That way when I pull on the leash the prongs dig in, making it easy to control the dog. Q: I have the chrome collar that is staining my white dog's fur. Will this stain? Is the black stainless steel anodized?

The black Herm Sprenger collars are anodized stainless steel, I don’t think they will stain white dogs fur but both my dogs are black so I’m not positive. Try the curogan Herm Sprenger collar, they are made for dogs with sensitivity to nickel (the chrome collars) and will not stain your dogs fur.
