Like many others, I have a car with wired Android Auto and use a wireless Android Auto unit that plugs into the car USB. But the car keeps the USB power on after the car is turned off and the Android Auto Wireless box continues to try and connect to the phone for several minutes. I got this switch so I could turn off the Android Auto Wireless without unplugging it.It is well built and solid. I only needed one, but at $10 for a two pack it's still a good deal for the convenience it represents. The only criticism I have is that the font used on the switch is terrible , something like simple Helvetica would have been much better.I plugged it in and it worked great. It seems to pass the USB data without any interference. As a footnote, within minutes of installation I had to remove it, because my Android phone updated itself to Android 14 which breaks Android Auto Wireless functionality. So I'm back to using wired Android Auto. But not the fault of this switch which is great.

I have a rear dashcam in the Jeep Wrangler. I have it plugged into a power adapter plugged into a rear lighter port. The port is on all the time. I like that as I don't need a parking kit. The thing is plugging and unplugging it bothered me as the connector could get worn. So I searched for a switch and found these. I got them and they work excellent, very convenient. The front one is connected to a power bank so again no parking kit needed. I have a switch on that too.

Works exactly as expected. This allows you to turn on / off USB devices manually. This works with my wireless Android Auto adapter in my 2025 Kia Seltos perfectly. Now my vehicle does not stay connected to my phone when I do not want it to. The ability to delay connectivity has improved my Android Auto stability.

I have a Jeep and I use a dongle for wireless Andriod Auto/ CarPlay. The radio USB ports don't power off (at least for an hour) so when I get home, my phone is CONSTANTLY trying to connect to my Jeep. Unplugging the dongle every time is not only hard on the cord, it's hard to plug back in because of its location. I read on a forum about these, and they work perfectly. Kills the power to the dongle with the flip of a switch. I love it. Use the 2nd one in my work van.

I bought these USB switches to turn off a keyboard. I' m old school and prefer hardware switches to software switches. When I leave my computer for a few minutes my cat will sometimes jump on the desk and walk on the keyboard. I leave it to your imagination what this will do to a document I am writing. I tried using the keyboard lock macro, my cat will sometimes hit step on the unlock keys. The hardware switch has defeated him.
