Q: does it include the transmitter

No it does not. The transmitter is cover under warrenty from Polar for 12-24 mos depending on the model you purchased. The strap is only covered for 6mos.

Q: Does any one know the measurement of the small vs medium. I think I need to buy a new one it came with medium?

My chest is about 40" (maybe larger) and I'm a medium build here. I bought the M-XXL size and it fits great. I have enough to let it out further and plenty of space to tighten it. It's hard to measure since the strap itself is very elastic.

Q: What’s the diff between this and the pro model strap 10 bucks more?

there are 3 main diff's between the two straps: 1. the pro model has larger sensor area to measure. 2. the pro model has a clip to close the strap instead of hook. 3. the pro has dots to increase friction so the strap stay in place better.
