I love these cases! They are worth the money to protect my controllers as I travel a lot and often take my PS5 with me. I've got 3 controllers and have bought a case for all of them. The cases hold the controllers firmly but have enough padding that nothing you encounter in normal daily life will harm your controllers. They even fit with the lizard skin anti-slip cushion sticker thingies.

fits the controller but cannot put in the cord that charges the controller. Otherwise, it is hard cover and works great.
