Little tool, big power! This has been a godsend in my crafting, and I'm thrilled with how many sanding heads you get. The light is amazing, it's easy to use, and I've been doing a LOT of drilling to make some adorable new keychains. The battery life is also insane, I haven't had to charge it since I got it! This is definitely a worthwhile investment, even if you only need it for casual use.

I used this tool to sand parts of a small wooden box and it worked fine. The poor instructions are the reason it gets four stars instead of five. My substitute: ================== Press the "Spindle Locking" button (the button nearest the business end) when you want to turn the "Nut" at the business end. That nut has a hole in it. The nut covers the "Collet" which is inserted in the business end and also has hole in it. The tool comes with the Collet inserted and the Nut screwed on. The tool has a variety of attachments (cylindrical sander, drill bit, etc.) and each attachment besides a drill bit requires a particular “bit” made for it. Some of the bits have a small screw at the end. For example, to install a cylindrical sander: A. Take the bit with the black cylindrical end with a small Phillips screw at the end. B. Remove the screw of that bit and slide on a sanding cylinder, then replace the screw and tighten it. C. Press and hold the Spindle Locking button then loosen the Nut at least an eighth of an inch. Insert the bit with its sanding cylinder through the nut hole and into the Collet. This a tight fit. If you can’t do it, loosen the nut some more. D. Tighten the nut. E. Release the Spindle Locking button that you had been holding down. ================== One minor complaint besides the inadequate instructions: the light at the business end cannot be turned off. It is glaringly bright and to my way of working annoying. It isn’t enough to cover just the LED with duct tape, you need to cover the plastic case below it, because it bright enough to shine through. Eventually I will paint light and part of the case around it with black acrylic paint. It comes with a couple very small rotary saws. They would be useful for cutting 1/8” wooden dowels and the like. They are useless for cutting wooden planks. The diameter is too small (less than the width of the tool) and the motor too weak. If taxed too much, the motor shuts down to prevent burning out. It’s a useful tool for small projects.

For what it is, this rotary tool is great and does a fantastic job, especially for the low price. It is as described though and definitely “mini”. It is great for small jobs where you need to sand/grind a smaller area or when using a soft material. If you’re looking to grind larger surfaces or looking for use on metal i would find something larger and more powerful. It does come with several helpful attachments and a very nice storage case.

I have several rotary tools but they are packed away for a move. Due to relative movement caused by wet weather, I needed to pull the slot opening in a deadbolt strike to enable the deadbolt to close. Found this kit on Amazon and ordered. I am fully satisfied with the product. The feature set was perfect for the intended job. It's small and light enough for easy control. The fastest speed was just right for sanding down the relatively thin metal of the deadbolt strike. The accessory box had a good selection of tools appropriate to the task. The cordless feature saved me from having to scrounge up an extension cord. It took me about 15 minutes running at high speed and using a very light touch to remove the excess metal. I plugged in the charger cable afterward and it still showed a full charge. Unless a future job requires more power and run time, this will be my go-to for future rotary tool tasks. Cord-free rocks!

I picked this up for some small DIY projects around the house and it is a decent little tool for the price. The cordless design is very convenient because you do not have to worry about being near an outlet and the USB charging makes it easy to top off the battery anywhere. It is lightweight and easy to hold like a large pen which is great for detailed engraving or light polishing. However the power is definitely limited. Even on the highest of the five speed settings it tends to bog down or stall completely if you apply even a little bit of pressure. It works okay for soft wood or plastic but I would not recommend it for anything involving metal or harder materials. The battery life is also just average for me so you really have to plan on using it for quick 15 or 20 minute tasks rather than a long project. The accessory kit that comes with it is generous and gives you plenty of options to start with but the quality of the bits is not the best. Some of the sanding drums and polishing pads wear out almost immediately after one use. It is a nice starter set to figure out what you need but you will likely end up buying better quality replacement bits pretty quickly. Overall it is a fair tool for hobbyists and very light craft work but it feels more like a toy than a piece of shop equipment. If you just need something for occasional small repairs or delicate etching it will get the job done. If you need something for actual sanding or cutting you should probably look for a more powerful corded model instead.

I gotta say, this is the best purchase I've made in a while... Due to some physical issues I've been doing A LOT of shopping online. Most of the stuff is ok, not the best, but also not the worst (cuz I read product reviews). But let me tell you, this HARDELL Mini Cordless Rotary Tool is AMAZING!!! It's small enough to fit in my hand perfectly (I wear extra small size gloves), and allows me to have complete control no matter what the angle. It's sanding ability is excellent. And, between the variations in speed control & the amount of different bits that can be used, make this tool so versatile. Despite it's size, it feels like it's pretty sturdy. I think it's gonna last me quite a while. And the battery capacity is excellent. I will say, I feel there's only 1 minor design flaw. I wish the location of the power & speed buttons were swapped around though. While working with it, it did shut it off by accident because I hit the power button. But it only happened once, as I was more careful going forward... If anyone is debating whether this is a "good tool" or "worth the money", let me tell you IT IS, AND THEN SOME!!!

I have a regular Dremel tool with the cord. this is so nice to use because of no cord. I wish I had bought it much sooner. I even found my wife using it to do her toe nails. She said it works great for taking care of them. I tried it and she was right.
