12 x 18 Triple Silhouette Reactive Splatter Shooting Target - Big Dawg Targets

Although the description says 12 x 18, which would lead you to believe its 1 foot by 1.5 feet, in reality, the targets are rather small. Shooting these at 7 yards is roughly equivalent to shoot full size silhouette targets at 15 or so. That part is not something that bothers me. What bothers me is the tendency these targets have toward curling up at the edges. If your range has a 3 prong hanger like most, where the prongs are more than 12 inches apart, you can only hang these on one of them (see photo). And even if you can hang them on two, the bottom portion that is not hung on two will still curl in. Look at the example shown in the photograph.The solution, of course, is to staple these onto cardboard and use the cardboard when connecting to a hanger. But if the company can do something about the curling problem, that would be really nice. The price was right, and I love the splatter effect on the targets. Makes it easy to see a hit.UPDATE: 4/4/17 Big Dawg has updated their targets, and they now ship them in a way that prevents them from curling. I took my new set to the range and I was most happy with them. I love the splatter effect, and love the fact that they are high visibility targets. Thanks to Big Dawg for fixing this issue, I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars!

This woman loves these targets! First, the sight on my gun isn't the easiest to see, especially against standard black targets. The bright blue color is great to set your sights against. I also love the splatter that helps you to see your shots. I've had to start wearing glasses the last few years and even with my glasses on, some targets are very hard to see your shots, especially at longer distances. I was finding at longer distances I started bringing my target holders back in to view my shots and then sending them back out again to complete my rounds. I don't have to do that with these. The splatter pattern is easy to distinguish and helps me adjust my aim. The price is good and I would highly recommend these to anyone, newbies to the sport as well as seasoned enthusiasts.

These targets are on a sturdier paper. Once the target is hit, the color changes at the site of the projection. This target adds some fun to your range practice.

Easy to see target strikes at 15 yards. Longer distances are somewhat more difficult to tell location of hits since the target is small for 25 yards. Upper hostage target is useless in my opinion unless you're less than 7 yards from target.

Very good practice targets. *note* these targets are splatter and reveal a ORANGE neon color NOT YELLOW like the default picture. They are made of very strong and good paper card stock. It's not the average human target at 36 inches but 18 inches at 25 meters is no problem. I shot these mostly indoor range, 25 meters mostly with my bolt action rifle.
