This product appears to be well made and the blades are plenty sharp. Haven't returned it because we also have a Bostitch sharpener that I'm pretty sure will need new blades one of these days. I had thought we had two Bostitch sharpeners right up until I tried to replace the blades in the shop sharpener. <sigh>. Now it's either buy a new sharpener of find the correct blades for the one in the shop. Darn it.

I ordered the blades to replace the dull ones in my old pencil sharpener. The new framework (shown on the right) doesn't screw in like the old one, so I'm going to try to take the blades out of their framework and put them in the old framework. That failing, I'll have to buy a new old-style sharpener.If you order these, make sure they're correct for the sharpener you have.

These replacement cutters do what they are supposed to do. The price on the original sharpeners has gone up about to about 4 times what I paid for them 5 or 6 years ago when I made a large purchase of about 9 or 10 of the MPS1s for my classroom. They were so inexpensive I just replaced them each year. But after my initial batch wore out I have wanted to buy replacement cutters and even though the part was listed on Stanley-Bostitch's site, I could never find these for sale anywhere on-line until I stumbled across these on Amazon. I grabbed several right away and am glad I did. They cost a little more than what I originally paid for the entire sharpener but a lot less than what the current sharpeners are going for.
