Is this safe to use on your eyelids?

I've never succeeded without burning my eyes until this eye serum. Across my eyelids and under eyes with no burning. No scent at all. Guess we all respond differently. Not sure I've notices any changes after 2 weeks. Better than without I always say. And I'm male. lol

Is the 1000 roses eye revive supposed to smell like strong roses? mine smells like nothing. is it old?

While everyone’s sensitivity to smell is different, the Sensitive 1000 Roses Eye Revive Contour Gel isn’t meant to give off an overwhelming aroma. Andalou Naturals eye creams don't have an expiration date, rather an alpha-numeric lot code denoting a manufactured date that determines the shelf life. Eye creams have a shelf life (unopened) of 5 years from the manufactured date. Once opened, products should be used within a certain timeframe for optimum freshness and efficacy. There is a jar icon on each package which communicates the “best used after opening” timeframe. For example, 12M suggests using the product within 12 months after opening.

Lot codes are found on the primary packaging (tube crimp, jar bottom, on wrap label, etc.). While it may depend on the product, here's how you would translate the manufacturing lot code 7L17:

7 = Numeric representation of the year (2017)
L = Alpha representing month of manufacture (see below)
17 = Numeric representing batch number ever made of the
product
7L17 = Manufactured in 2017, November, 17th batch
 
Alpha codes translate as follows:

A = January
B = February
C = March
D = April
E = May
F = June
G = July
H = August
J = September
K = October
L = November
M = December
 
So, for example, if Andalou Naturals Coconut Water Eye Lift Cream has a lot code of 7L17 we know it was manufactured in November 2017. It has a shelf life unopened of 5 years from that date. Once opened, product should be used up within 12 months for maximum efficacy and freshness.

Does this contain retinol? i am looking for a natural eye cream that does not have any vit a or retinol in it.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding retinol and Vitamin A.

Vitamin A is a powerful ingredient that comes in a number of different forms. Because it is a skin sensitizing ingredient that can make skin more vulnerable to sun damage, we believe at Andalou Naturals that concentrated dosing of Vitamin A should be prescribed and monitored by a dermatologist which is why we do not use it in any of our products.
