No it cannot detect unknown faces. It can only detect human faces from animal pets.. once you engage AI it will alert for all human detection after the camera is Armed

By view you mean move the camera then yes , turn 360 ALMOST. Cable is ok but if you want ceiling mount then you will need a longer cable I prefer eufy cameras tbh
