Very compact; works like a charm. My installation was on a smooth, flat, hard plastic surface. It seems rock solid. I wanted a mount that was compact and unobtrusive. This one fit those requirements perfectly. I use a sleeve case for my iPhone, with the phone removed from the case when in use, so the thin steel disk is attached directly to the back of the phone and directly contacts the magnetic disk of the mount. Very solid and secure, but phone is easily removed from the mount by sliding sideways. Once set, no wobbles or changes in position. Perfect for my application.

Sprial piece didn't stick to my dash very disappointed

Super easy to setup and doesn't take up a lot of room. Unfortunately the adhesive seems destined to fail. It comes with two sticky pads, which is good because you'll need them both, and then more. I started using this mount in August for my IPhone 6s plus. I mounted it to my dash and it felt solid. For the first two months it was great. Never second guessed it. Then, it randomly just fell off. Well that sucks, but no worries, I have a replacement sticky pad. I ensured the area was clean and attached it again. This time, it didn't even last two weeks before falling off again. Had to ditch it all together as it wasn't reliable, not something I felt I would ever say about a cell phone mount but here we are.

I had to downgrade my review from 4-stars to 3 as I discovered after posting it that it also renders my wireless charger completely unusable.I had a couple problems to begin with, first it didn't work inside my case, and the outside of my case didn't have a flat surface large enough for even the smaller disk. I also don;t think it attached well to my dashboard, even cleaning and drying it first and following all instructions.And now with the wireless charger issue I see I won;t be able to make it work at all. I have a Samsung Galaxy Edge 7 phone, a Samsung Smart charger wireless charger and a Unicorn Beetle Pro case. It may just be the combination of these three things that makes this unworkable for me, which is why I still give it 3 stars... I think it's genius for those it will work for and just wish it did for me.Here is my original review:***** Well this is pretty cool and I agree these magnets are super strong. It doesn't work though through some cases (I have a Galaxy Edge 7 phone with a Unicorn Beetle Pro case and the magnet placed on the phone and inside of the case did connect but wasn't secure enough to withstand a bump in the road or even rotating the phone, it slid right off).Putting the magnet on the outside of the case works if there is a large enough flat surface there. Otherwise you run into a problem like I have where the magnet is larger than the only available surface on the back of the case. I did use the smaller magnet and it's still too big. This means that the adhesive is not going to be as secure as it would be if it were flush, and the strong magnet it attaches to will probably eventually pull it off the case.I also am unsure of whether the mount is going to stay attached to the irregular surface of my dash. It didn't at all when I peeled the backing off and tried to mount it the first time (even following directions cleaning the surface with alcohol etc). I ended up ising another of the provided adhesive circles and pushed it down (hard) for a good 60 seconds and have left it there to "cure." Let's hope it works because I really wanted to love this thing and think for most people it should be fine.

Very strong hold, holds my phone securely even on bumpy roads; doesnt take up a lot of room or look unsightly.

This magnetic phone holder is a must have when driving in an unfamiliar area. Placed correctly on your dash board, you barely have to move your eyes to check your phone's map.My sons introduced me to Why Epic as they need it for driving in a large metropolitan area and I was helping out with errands. I can't do without out it !My suggestion is, when installing, always clean your dashboard with soap and water. Dry it, use furnished cleaning pad and dry it before attaching. You will be delighted with the outcome. The adhesive and magnets are very strong. It comes with extra stickies and magnets.

I love my Epic Magnetic Smartphone Holder! Super easy install. Just a heads-up, if you have a larger phone, check for any obstruction of air vents or other front dash controls before placement of magnetic base. I turn my phone to horizontal downward position when I have the air conditioning on, easy fix! :)

Magnetic power is good & holds the phone, but the tilting angle is too shallow. Most phone/GPS holders allow the screen to be perpendicular to people's eyes, but this one can't tilt to 90 degrees, which makes it end up too horizontal; makes the screen face towards the sky such that the sun reflects off of it if it's really sunny at the right angle. Mostly my preference tho cuz my gf has one & says the angle/sun is fine & that I'm just too picky 😝
