Relief Expert XL Shoulder Ice Pack/ Rotator Cuff Cold Therapy is a an excellent product. It stays in place whether walking around the house, transporting in a car, in a wheelchair, or sleeping in bed. No worries about wrapping in a towel that never seems to stay in place. The soft velour fabric is very comfortable against ones skin and if you prefer the more cooler plastic skin- side that works too! Only downside is absolutely needing a second pair of hands to secure the wrap of first strap to the back/over the shoulder and to secure the second strap around the upper arm for cold therapy support. Stays cold and dry for well over 20 minutes without any drips. I am ordering a second wrap to always have one ready as it takes 4 hours to freeze. So glad I found this wrap and gladly recommend it for recovery from shoulder replacement surgery! UPDATE: 7/24/24 Ordered and received the lilac color and am equally satisfied. So pleased to have on hand for travel. Having one 'on ice' so to speak in a cooler for continued use during a car trip is a bonus.

Reviewing the XL. It is very large which is what I wanted so it would cover top, front, back and arm to my elbow. This one does that. The first one I bought I sent back because it was way to small for me. There is one issue with this one that is causing me a problem. The arm strap is too low. I get it on and in a few minutes the strap slides off the ice pack and isn't holding anything. (see the picture) The strap should be farther up on the arm band. This might not affect a person with long arms but I am a woman with shorter arms. The other drawback is getting it on. It is difficult. I have to, first, close the arm strap where I think it would be the right diameter, slide my arm into it and then pull it up over my shoulder to my neck. I don't think I would have been able to get it on myself right after surgery when my arm was very sore. It is a struggle pulling it on and up over my shoulder this way. I can't imagine how that would feel right after surgery. The straps are very long. Actually so long on me that I can't hook it the way it is meant to be hooked because I would have to reach around to the back of my good shoulder to do that. However, I have found a work around for that problem. From under my arm, go thru the loop from the top, pull the strap down and loop it back up. (See the second picture) I'm going to keep this one because I really need an ice pack NOW. And, it does do the job (especially if you have help putting it on). It seems to be well made and stays cold as long as required for a good 20 minute icing. However, should I ever have to replace it I think I would look for something easier to get on by myself. Hopefully, I won't need another one anytime soon. The ones they have where I take therapy are so soft, comfortable and simple. But, I probably couldn't afford one like they use.

Really nice product - well made, good size and shape, multiple applications. Bought for a recurring rotator cuff (shoulder ) issue. Bit of a challenge (for a guy) to put it on correctly that first time, but you get full coverage and a comfortable and secure fit. Stays plenty cold for the recommended 20 minutes and refreezes very quickly. But wait. There’s more. Just had a second hip replacement and got frustrated with the standard large pad not staying in place on the anterior of my hip/thigh area, so tried this product which worked perfectly. The upper arm section provided strapped-in-place coverage to just above the knee, and the shoulder section covered the affected hip area, also securely strapped in place. Really couldn’t ask for anything more. I just really like it. Think you will too.

I purchased this product in June of 2022, for my husband who never used it. Thankfully I kept it because I fell about a month ago and damaged my shoulder. This product is absolutely a life saver! What a great invention! It's well made, stays cold for a long time, and fits the shoulder perfectly (I'm a big woman). Lastly, it sat in a box for two years, came out of the box like new, and has worked excellent for me.

So recent shoulder surgery: PROS: lots of coldness with this pack. Big so it can fit most big guys. Would not recommend if your a small stature. Left or right use. Nice color blue. CONS: Bulky. Rubs in some spots along your neck. Not friendly to put on with one person; while your immobilized. Heavy. For recent surgery; it’s not “lite”. Needs more cold bearing area around the superior area of the shoulder. Bears great icing around chest, back and biceps.

This was a bit awkward to put on the first time but what a great gel pack! The velvety surface against the skin eliminates the need for an additional cover and prevents freezing damage to skin. We found it also worked well after knee surgery because unlike other gel packs it wrapped around the thigh, "bent" at the knee and wrapped around the top of the calf requiring only one pack, no cover, and was secure. We love this thing. I found a clean, soft (dry), wash cloth folded over the upper edge allowed us to secure it better without chaffing the neck. But it's the only thing I e found to actually work on a shoulder: it's big enough and stays put!

I have been buying these for years as they were the largest longest lasting cold packs for shoulders that you could find. But the last two I have ordered have gotten smaller and less filled to the point the latest stays cold for only about ten minutes instead of the 30-40 of the larger packs filled with gel. These used to be a bargain now they’re a rip off. Too bad. Anyone have other ones they recommend?

I am a woman who wears size M for tops. This fits really well. Straps are the right length for me. It curves around the shoulder well. I like that I can move the cooling gel through the whole pad to be where I want it most. I like that there is a a fuzzy and a non-fuzzy side; since I wear it over a long sleeved t-shirt I use the non-fuzzy side. The cold is good. Some reviews say it doesn’t stay cold - I disagree - it stays cold during a normal 10-20 duration for icing, same as the other ice pads I have. I very much like it and recommend it.

This item is exactly what we needed for recovery after pitching a fame if baseball. Fits well and does exactly what we need it to.

I did something to my right shoulder and was in some major pain for about 5 days. I decided to order this ice pack and received it in 2 days. Supper fast delivery! Put it in the freezer for about 4 to 6 hours before using it. It felt so good to have it on my shoulder. It wraps around your shoulder really well. I had a hard time figuring out the arm part, as there is no clip to pass the strap through like the top part has. Other than that, I love it. The plush side is very nice and comfortable. The other side is super cold even after 20 minutes of use. I could see how some would get frost bite. I would highly recommend this product for any shoulder, rotator cuff injury.

Such a fantastic item for those who need to ice up their shoulders or rotator cuff injury... It's brilliant and easy to use once you get it lol (took me a moment but I got it) 😂 Sincerely it's SOOOOOOO convenient and easy that I wouldn't want to do this any other way now. It's just practical and I really think it's perfect for what I needed!

This one in particular is definitely XL. I got this size because I have large upper arms and I wanted more coverage in the shoulder blade and chest. This thing is a GODSEND. I currently have "frozen shoulder" as a result of previously having a rotary cuff injury and this thing is AMAZING for giving relief. I love to keep it in the freezer all day and wear it to sleep. My ONLY complaint is the edges are not overly comfortable. They should make it with a soft skin friendly lining along the edges. But the underside that goes again the skin is VERY nice.
