"Kayako's Grudge" is a stylized 5x7 painting inspired by the Ju-On film series. I wanted to use more of an anime style for this piece to exaggerate some of the forms used in the painting, such as the neck and arm to create a sense of flow in the work. I used blues because most of the other paintings I created that were inspired by that film series used that color, and the films utilize different shades of blue throughout. I used yellow and pink to bring attention to certain details in the piece, such as the eyes and mouths of the two figures. "Kayako's Grudge" was created using acrylic paint and alcohol based marker on cotton canvas. It comes ready to hang with a saw tooth hanger and is signed by the artist. No frame is necessary since it comes ready to hang and the painting itself is sealed with a fixative, protecting it from wear and tear.
