HifonicsBXX800.4 Brutus 800W RMS A/B 4 Channel Speaker Car Audio Amplifier

I have used Hifonics Amps before and still have 2 of the Zeus series in my car, however this Brutus amp let me down. I installed this for the mids (6-5x7's) in my wife's Excursion as part of a system I built for her birthday. The amp sounded pretty clear pushing the Polk 2 ways. I dialed everything and adjusted the gain to a reasonable output, which ended up being about 3/4 of the way up. On the first decent drive we took, the amp went into protect mode after about 20 minutes of play time. This was a new install, with all new power, grounds, RCA, everything, so I was a bit confused. I double checked the individual ground for this amp and it was fine, then I swapped it with the ground for the subwoofer amp, which is a Skar. Same thing happened. 20 minutes and back into protect mode. I'm talking about mid level sound, not blasting the music.I ended up purchasing a NVX 1000, which is 3 times the price, but definitely worth it. We jammed this thing for hours on blast and it runs just fine.Hifonics let me down on this one.

I dont know why or what these negative reviews are about I have been running this amp on my front end of my 18 Ram with a BXX 2000 on 2 12s and it is flawless never gets hot and is crystal clear. Definitely worth the money just make sure you set all your settings properly so you dont clip which would cause the overheating or shorting issues.

Plays for 20 min then overheats! Running 4 JBL component speakers only!

Channel 3 went out after eight days. Amazon has a new one shipped without me having to return mine For 30 days. The amp has great sound quality and plenty of power. Maybe just be an issue with mine I ran this amp before and it was great. Hopefully no issues with next one.

Got it for my highs and mids.. So far so good... Sound quality is pretty good for a 800 watt amp ..Bought from vminnovations and they had the fastest shipping it was here in not even 2 days!! 👍👍
