I have long used this style hat for outdoor sun protection. It’s cooler than most and very light weight. The chin strap is a must for windy conditions.

Tldr; I LOVE this hat, and highly recommend it.🥰Got this hat in early August, and finally wore it to the beach this week. Awesome!!! So lightweight, easy to pack, and doesn't get wrinkled (at least mine hasn't yet). Also it was delivered open (not folded) and was unwrinkled. Not sure why it's considered s men's hat, I think any sex can use it.I considered but wasn't looking for the type with the blue liner that you wet to stay cool... This hat doesn't need it! I stayed shaded, cooler than being hatless. At one point I felt my head sweating (5 hours at the beach) but it never dripped down my face; I didn't have to spend the day wiping my hairline or face because the hat absorbed the sweat almost as soon as it occurred. For fun, to see how it'd be, and to cool off from a workout (strong waves made it a super workout just trying to not get pulled in :-p) I put the hat in the ocean to try out the cooling effect other hats have the blue liner for ... Worked like a charm!Nice light grey color looked great with my black & white swimwear. It will also go very well with all of my bathing suits (blues, black, grey, brown multi, etc.). Doesn't look dorky, and I got compliments. My sister tried it and wants one now too, so I came to find this order today to send her the link but will just buy one for her. 😁👍🏽

Will keep the sun off your head face and neck. Vents allow airflow. It is lighter than the straw hat it replaced and it has a reflective top surface which makes it a poor choice for activities such as hunting. It is ideal for yard work or the beach.

I purchased this for a family outing and did not want to wear it. I finally gave in after feeling like I was going to faint. OMG! First all it didn't feel like I was wearing a hat because I had loosened the drawstring around the brim. Secondly, the other drawstring under the chin help the hat snug but not uncomfortable. Thirdly, the reflective material on the outside deflected the sun and heat allowing my hair to really feel the breeze that blew through those side vents along the "cap" of the hat. I'm so so glad I bought this!! It doesn't help with humidity but it does keep that heat away!

The hat was good but as a guy I would not wear it because of the reflective silver top it did not look like that in the pictures to me

i read other reviews saying it wasnt adjustable but mine is. theres a bungee cord with a little tension toggle that can snug it down to your head, plus section of cord for the chin area is there in case you need an extra layer of hold-down security.it is lightweight, fits well (i wear a large Bell motorcycle helmet, M/L flexfit caps), and reflects the sun.if it last awhile i think its a good buy. looking forward to wearing it on a canoe trip,

I don't know what the other reviews are yalking about... this hat is NOT for people with large heads! It's standard sized, so about 2-3 inches too small me for me, which is so annoying... but the brim is wide, if you don't have trouble finding hats that fit than I'd recommend it.
