Montezuma’S Dark Chocolate Absolute Black 100% Cocoa 90g

OK, I’m using this chocolate for my heart health. Trying to get my triglycerides down with a special diet. I pop one square in my mouth and let it melt while I’m drinking my coffee after breakfast. Let me tell you it taste like mud, but who said that everything that is good for you taste good? It’s really not that bad, but my family got to taste it and their reactions were hilarious. Like I said, I’m using it for my health. I cannot eat sugar, but if I could, I bet it would make a great hot cocoa. It’s expensive but so is being stuck with a heart medication that ends up giving you horrible side effects and really doesn’t do anything for you. I would rather eat this little piece of chocolate that taste like mud to improve my heart health than to damage myself further with big Pharma drugs. Since I stopped eating all the sugar and wheat and grains, which I was addicted to in the past, I now enjoy, bitter, tart, and sour.

I am allergic to sugar and don't eat dairy so this is perfect for me. It has a very distinguished bitter flavor that is perfectly mitigated by the cocoa bits. Sometimes I eat it with some almond or peanut butter and it makes for a perfect snack or dessert. No let or alkali in it either. Very good quality and worth the price.

This Chocolate is amazing. Texture is smooth, taste is simply delicious , if you appreciate 100% dark chocolate. The reason I took off a star is because the expiration date showed a shelf life of a month.

The Montezuma's chocolate I received came with a pale haze and tasted bad--it was about 2 months expired (taking into account the reversal of day and month on the UK expiration date), and must have gotten overheated--2 months expiration alone would I think not have done this--so poor storage! Of course I threw it out.

Incredibly delicious! I thought it would be too bitter for fun, but no it’s just perfectly good! It’s the best snack for a student to chew in class to fight against hunger.

One side of the bar has a different color. It does appear a bit squished and might have gone through some temperature variances possibly.

This is the worst food item I ever tasted but I will try to eat it as I am quitting coffee and I need something to wake me up while working, mix it with water will taste like espresso

The bitterness is intense several reviewers say it’s almost too much straight off, unless you’re very accustomed to high-percentage cocoa bars it's best when you savour a small piece slowly, let it sit on your tongue a moment, and maybe pair it with a slightly sweet or creamy food to contrast it. I also like that the brand gives context around “100% cocoa” and how they manage to retain smoothness despite the absence of sugar or fillers. Montezuma’s Absolute Black is a top-tier choice if you’re into ultra-dark, minimalist chocolate with no sugar and real cocoa intensity. But go slowly if your usual bar is 70-80% cocoa, this is a step up in both flavour strength and bitterness. Be prepared for the experience. If you do enjoy it, you’ll find a bar that feels rare and rich.

This product is simply the best but with a high price tag..I think they're not genuinely priced..An over pricing can shrink its market share but it's taste is really awesome. 👍😊
