We have quite a few smoothie books, but many of them call for expensive "superfood" powders or obscure ingredients. This one is different—it focuses on 100 nutrient-packed recipes that actually stick to the 5-ingredient promise. The Experience: The layout is very clean, making it easy to read while you’re busy in the kitchen. Most of the ingredients are things we already have in the fridge or freezer (like spinach, bananas, and almond milk). It’s been a great way to get my kids involved since the steps are so minimal they can practically make them themselves. Why it stands out: Nutritional Focus: Each recipe includes a quick breakdown of the health benefits, which is helpful if you're looking for an energy boost or a post-workout snack. Variety: Even with only 5 ingredients, the flavors are varied—from tropical blends to "dessert-style" smoothies that feel like a treat. Practicality: The book is physically sized well; it stays open on the counter without needing a heavy book weight. Review: Fun and Delicious Recipes! - I am always nervous purchasing a cookbook online because you never know what the recipes will be like but these are delicious! Love the 5 ingredients- simple, quick to make, and healthy!

Truly simple recipes that don't require a specialty grocery store
I bought this for our family to help incorporate more fruit and fiber into our mornings. We have quite a few smoothie books, but many of them call for expensive "superfood" powders or obscure ingredients. Simply Phenomenal; phenomenally simple
I initially purchase the Smoothie Bible by Pat Crocker. I hated it. The Juicing Bible by her is incredible thorough but the Smoothie Bible turned out to be TOO complicated with the ready-to-go ingredients. I returned it and decided to buy something much simpler for daily execution. This book turned out to be way better than I could have ever imagined. Missing out on my daily fiber is impossible if I drink one of these recipes. Also, the more I drink these recipes, the more I crave healthier foods throughout the day and the following day. The negatives are not hugely negative. Sometimes the recipes are too thick or not sweet enough. Nothing a little water and maple syrup or honey can’t fix. The only other negative is the portion sizing. The recipes are all for two, but they are sized as meal replacements instead of meal compliments. If you are going to something with your smoothie and it’s just you, it’s probably a good to reduce everything by 75%. Overall, an incredible book for effectively getting Americans to eat more fiber. Which if we’re being honest, is the likely cause of many of our health problems. I was not paid to write this review nor did I receive a free copy. I found this book on my own and now follow the author on all my social media to get more content from her!

Excellent recipe book
Based on the size of my Ninja smoothie maker, I use half recipes for each smoothie. Other than that, I love the variety and the minimal ingredients. If you aren't sure how to make a smoothie (as was the case with me), then I recommend this.

Its okay...
The book is a good size with nice pictures and seems well made. The recipes are okay but they don't use the same ingredients, in fact the ingredients are widely varied so if you have a lot of the different ingredients or don't mind buying them to try each smoothie then its a perfect smoothie book. I however only have the basics (basic fruits and juice and yogurt, some veggies) so the smoothies I can actually make are quite limited. I am sure that in the summer I may have more access to the other ingredients but until then this book will not be as handy as I expected. The pictures are nice but limited and colorless as others have also pointed out. The recipes are written well enough and are easy enough to follow

simple, well organized, nutritional info
Pro: easy-to-find simple ingredients and substitutes, well organized 6 chapters with some photos, nutritional info (calories, fat, sugars, carbs, fiber, protein, sodium), tips; keeps it simple and healthy. The only Con for me: all recipes serve 2 which is too much volume for my small Oster My Blend corded blender and BlendJet 2 cordless portable. But easy to cut listed ingredients in half for a single serving in smaller blenders. Worth it for the quality of the recipes and user-friendly format.

If you're bored with doing usual smoothies, this book will give great ideas for sure! I just rarely have at my disposal all the ingredients required as they are sophisticated but they are good even if something is missing!
