XYLEM Flojet 01740004A 1/2" in-Line Strainer

So I ordered this for my PWC because I have to run a water filter due to my jetting in my exhaust system also I have a race coming up on Friday when it came in today I was very disappointed that it's not Barbed it's threaded what the hell hope I can get one by Friday especially the correct one definitely won't be ordering it from this company

Since replacing our original strainer which apparently was not big enough to handle the volume, we have been quite satisfied with this part.

The product is advertised as 1/2” barbed but arrives as 1/2” threaded. It doesn’t work without additional 1/2” female to 1/2” barb adaptors. It is plain to see from the various other complaints that the seller advertises a barbed filter, but actually sells a threaded filter. Customers are unaware until it arrives in the mail. Why? Because some people work fir a living and don’t have to trade reviews to make sure the product advertised is the product actually sold, and with plumbing (as anyone who has looked to connect two items together will know) is hours of staring at fittings of various sizes all of which are not the actual size printed on them. To avoid this people like to buy items that already have the fitting size and type needed in order to avoid the search for various size and type adapters. Not to mention delivery times, return times, and additional delivery times. I miss actual stores with stock in them.

So, the pic is wrong but the P/N is correct, which do we trust? I dunno.Package states that this is the 1/2" QEST version on the back which is P/N 01740004A which does match the description. That being said, it seems to be a well made product. Same as everyone else. Also much cheaper plastic than I thought it was going to be for the price. Feels like they made it for a few cents

Filter is fine and works. But as others have noted, it comes with threaded ends. Not barbed as pictured. It then requires the purchase of a barbed fitting. They really should fix this.

The strain itself is fine. The reason for one star is that the items shipped did not have 1/2 barb ends. Came with 1/2 male connectors on both ends.

Like everyone else, I got a strainer that is other than pictured. Now I've got to go to the hardware and try to find barbed hose connectors that will fit the threaded connections it actually has.

Sur la photo , on peut voir que les embouts sont pour des tuyaux Pex 1/2’’, et celui que j’ai reçu , les embouts sont filetés.Toujours des détails qui me correspond pas à l’item annoncé. Je suis très déçu encore une fois.
