Great corrector for kids
I've tried many options, and this is truly best corrector for children.I bought it for my son and he wears the brace twice a day for about an 30-40min each time. I am most impressed with the firm yet comfortable way that it holds him in perfect posture.He said it was a bit uncomfortable at first, only because the back has to be straight all the time, and after about 4-5 days of use he was able to keep his shoulders back without it. He has suffered from scoliosis since early childhood, yet this posture support does not seem to bother that condition. We've also came to a sweet deal: if he wants to watch TV he got to wear it. Win-win solution brace.Nowadays this is a must-have item in every family with kids age 8+

Looks like something one would get at the dollar shop down ...
I don't know about the other products but this one is simply not worth the money. If it was $4.99 I would take into consideration the mediocre quality and simply agree with you get what you paid for. Everything in it are cheap, low quality materials, including the elastic straps, and the stiches are poorly done. Looks like something one would get at the dollar shop down the block. My boy had it on for 5 min and is already complaining of pain and scratches. Like I said, I don't know how others make theirs, but this one is one cheap, low quality China made product and I won't even bother returning to them. I usually don't make harsh reviews, but this one is the worse I've got from Amazon. I doubt the MD has even done quality control. Totally disappointed!

Won't work for petite adults
Very small brace, I am only 5'6'' with a very petite frame ( 28 inch bra band size) I can only wear it for about 45 mins before my left arm goes numb. It also has two foreign disks within the padded part, which I cut out as they dig right into the spine. Would not buy again.

Seeing improvements
Seems to be making a difference. I wouldn't say it corrects poor posture, but it does "encourage" good posture. For a kid, I think it does a good job without hurting or being too uncomfortable. I can only get my son to wear about an hour a day, so perhaps it would work better if he wore it more. He needs a little help putting it on (he's 7) but it can be worn while sitting, standing or playing, and can be hidden under a shirt or worn over.The only con I'd say is that when it arrived it had a very strong petroleum/chemical smell. Not a problem with the product, but I would suggest washing or airing it out first.
