Clean them with vinegar and it goes away and keeps them from sticking together

Q: are these antistatic?

We had to spray them with antistatic spray

Q: Can the strips be shorted by cutting from the bottom? Not sure if the bottom are "finished" in some way. Suggested bottom to floor gap?

Yes, feel free to cut them from the bottom. 1/2" gap to bottom. Thanks.
