It is hard to believe but this tape is a miracle! Its not sticky as I expected. Not at all and that is so great! THe flex hose on my 30 year old vacuum split almost in half in several places. Especially where the hose wraps around the hose holders in the upright handle. Only an expensive replacement looked like the solution until THIS! This tape worked!! I highly recommend this.

Product is a 5. Instructions text is a 3. So, im giving it a 4 star.I bought this product because I have a very notty dog that's fascinated with water hoses. As such, hoses often end up with "mysterious holes" and other times I catch my dog playing with a hose in an attempt to get water to come out.I've never purchased this type of product, so I read and re-read the packaging many times. I still felt unsure how the tape worked and how the sun heat helped seal/bond the tape to the hose. I almost threw out this tape and used Duct Tape instead. After a few days, I decided to just go with it and wrap tape around the portion of the hose that had a few holes, then left the hose in the sun for a few hours. Late in the afternoon, I turned on the hose and was thrilled to find that the hose no longer had water leaks. My notty dog has since made more holes in this same hose and the tape keeps sealing up those areas just fine.I would only recommend an easier explanation on the packaging that makes sense to a first time user of the product.

Used this silicone tape to prevent my shower caddy from sliding down the shower head. (The suction cups on those things are worthless) The tape has been up several months now and works perfectly. Our shower head is oil rubbed bronze so I got black and it blends in very nicely. I have plenty left for future projects, too.

If you have never played with silicone tape, get a roll and be astonished. Need to make an electrical connection waterproof? Wrap the wires in this. The tape is pure silicone. Stretch it as you wrap; the silicone fuses to itself without adhesive and within an hours is impermeable to water, fully insulating, tough, resistant to heat and cold. I use this exclusively for soldering connections in the place of electrical tape, heat-shrink or electricians tape.I had a job that required me to build a camera run switch at the end of a six foot cable that would be attached to a camera in a water housing on a body board for a surfing shot the next day. I assembled it at the dinner table, wrapped it up with the rescue tape, and slept like a baby, knowing it would work flawlessly. And it did.

Sick of those mosquitoes flying through that tiny hole in your screen. Enter Gardner Bender HTP-1010 REPAIR TAPE. I even patched one of those screen doors that you Velcro to your door frame. You can't have one of those without putting your hand through it.

I did not expect this crap from Gardner bender. No adhesion….may be old product sitting in warehouse

It was to repair a central vacuum hose. As it has to be flexible this tape was perfect.

Didn’t work for what I needed. Was trying to repair a polyurethane fitting on dishwasher. I am sure this is more my fault then the tapes.

this product worked well to seal a drain hose that has an attached hook style end. the end isn't replaceable by itself so i tried this product first and no more leaks. the key as mentioned is to overlap itself at the beginning, pull tight and overlap itself when wrapping the damaged product and finish by overlapping itself to finish the tape job.
