Blackberry Wine

I have loved this book since I bought the 1st copy, I have had 3 I think and lent them out to friends and of course not had them back. The 1st Joanna Harris book that I bought was Chocolat , of course , and I was captivated by Vianne the good witch, I loved the film too, so then I bought this book which carries on in the same village 5 years after Vianne left so a lot of the old characters are still there ! I have never understood why the people who made the film Chocolat didn't make this into a film! It's got everything romance, intrigue, strong characters and even a ghost, whats not to like? There are not many books I feel inclined to read more than once but I recently read this one for the 3rd time, and will probably read it again in the future, and please if you are a film maker reading this then read the book and see the potential , I am fed up of the same stories being re-released all the time !!Peter Viggers

As usual a.real amazing read from this fantastic author. Really authentic to environment of France and the Northeast u could just genuinely take yourself there. Never sure until the end how it was going to end. A must read. Really enjoyed.

I’ve been trying to read this book once in a while every few years . I read a page or two and just cannot get past the first chapter being narrated by a bottle of posh wine in a cellar 😂
