MEDCHOICE Strep A Rapid Test Kit - Box of 25 tests

if I could give a 0 star rating I would.Did not like this product ...it never worked! we had an outbreak of strep in our small valley! for about 5 months straight our family kept getting strep! I thought we could save some money and buy these kits ourselves.Every time we tested it, it would come up negative. and after being miserable long enough.. we would go to the doctor and find out WE DID HAVE STREP!waste of money for sure.

Just revived box. expiration 03-2018.Test strips by Rapid response. I had this previously (2 years ago) and they worked great. Accurate and easy to read, results in 5 minutes. Also have used the Areta strep test (last year) and found those much harder to read as you had to wait 10 minutes, but should not be read after 20 minutes. On them the positive line could be really faint and couldn't tell if that was a false positive. No problems like that with these Rapid Response test strips.

False positive! I'm a pediatric nurse and test my daughter at home because she's has strep so many times. Home test was positive. The rapid test at the physician's office was negative as was the culture. I suppose it's better to have a false positive than a false negative, but now I don't trust these tests whatsoever and will just have to pay the co-pay every time I want her tested.Update: These also produce false negatives, which is extremely dangerous. Don't buy these !!!

Bottom line is that these do work correctly, and I recommend them if you are in a situation like mine. Repeated positive strep tests from a doctor's office..have these st home to know if you need to make an appointment for the antibiotics. These paid for themselves. My daughter had a sore throat that I knew wasn't strep because the test was negative, therefore, saving me the copayment. And it also saved me money by letting the doctor know that I did test positive and showing him a picture I snapped of it. Minus the hassle and cost of getting swabbed there.

Kiddo had a sore throat. Swabbed it, followed the super simple directions, and waited for maybe a few minutes longer than the 5 it recommends, and voila! A valid strep diagnosis that was confirmed at the pediatrician's office. Easy, effective. The doctor's office was impressed!

This test is more sensitive than the one at my pediatrician's office. My son tested positive with this test- when I took him to the dr he tested negative on their test. I requested a culture be performed and a few days later it showed he was positive

Fairly easy to do. Gave positive results for my son who was being treated for strep so was accurate. Will save us unnecessary trips to the Dr for antibiotics.
