Scala Mens Felt Fedora Hat

I use it for dressing up

Hat was way to big. I wear a size 53 hat. Took a size S & was still very big on me.

Great Fedora hat. !!!! Fast delivery in a large box uncrushed along with another grey hat. The size is true to size.!!!! This is a real immitation of the classic 40's fedora you wear with a zoot gives you the full gangster look. The only drawback yet minimal and not too bothersome is the brim.I dont find it rigid enough but hat can be shaped the brim too but the brim is a little loose . For a shooting purpose there is no problem. I own vintage 40's suits and a photographer proposed me to take pictures of me since I'm a tango dancer . I will post some pictures here as soon as the pictures are taken. It has a nice red feather on the side. there is a transparent inside lining that reads "Scala Classico ". Handmade since 1921, Dorfman Pacific co. Very satisfied with this hat and definitely give it a 5 star !!!!!

Edited review: I returned the large and replaced it with a medium. It was shipped in a box far too shallow. The hat was crushed from the shipper piling other items on top of it. As I’ve stated before, this is a beautiful hat for the money. The medium was on the lower end of the medium’s size range, too small but within stretchable range. Back to Amazon for a hat stretcher, then a pot of boiling water, some hand manipulation to restore the crushed shipping damage and voila … a hat that fits properly! My earlier statement about Scala selling hats by actual sizes still stands. Sizing tape can make anything stay on your head, even a bucket, but it doesn’t make it fit! Everyone’s head is different and you may luck out in getting a factory perfect fit. Original review: I wear hats, high end, some custom made by Americas 1st hat manufacturers. It’s a beautiful hat for the $$$ I really want to like and wear this hat but the more that I look at it, the less I wish to wear it. S/M/L/XL is no way to buy a hat. Scala needs to sell this hat in real hat sizes. I laboured extensively on what size to order. 7-1/4 is my size, the crossover from medium to large. Based on reviews, I ordered a large … wrong choice. No amount of sizing tape can fix this, let alone look stupid. Com’on Scala, take the guess work out of something that should be simple!

I measured my head and thought I needed an extra large but apparently I did not. The hat was way too large. Although the hat comes with filling strips, I had already purchased such strips. After placing these strips along the rim, the hat fit better. Now it is just a matter of adjusting the hat's rim to suit my taste.
