This PEARL SSH-05 DE Razor is excellent overall. It's absolutely value for money with excellent build quality, good weight and great finish. The razor is little on the milder side which is also good for people who are new to double edged safety razors.....one commendable feature I liked about this razor is that it has close to no blade overhang....it can even be considered that this razor has no blade overhang at all !!So it's safer in that way too! The blades that came with it are good too. The packaging was also nice.Overall I am very satisfied.Also my order got delivered earlier than expected. So thanks to Amazon.

I ordered this to replace my older safety razor. I made sure to check that the length of the handle matched against the older one, which was 12 cm.But when I opened the pack, it was immediately clear that this instrument was far shorter. It is only 8 cm long. A huge deal if you have big hands. Which was a pity, because this is a good product otherwise. It’s weighty, well balanced, is of high quality construction.It’s also rather mild, which makes it suitable as a first razor for people who are new to wet shaving. If you’re a veteran user, you should give this one a pass and look for a more aggressive instrument.This product isn’t returnable. But my payment was refunded without any questions asked after I uploaded a picture of the handle measuring less than the specified length.

In the last three decades I do not remember ever having shaved without having nicks and cuts but this incredibly good razor gave me a shave without a single nick. It is built very strongly and the closed comb prevents any agression. The feel is premium and the weight balance is perfect. It broke the myth that only heavy and large razors are good. My other razors are large and heavy. It is one of the best purchases I have made ever in shaving products.

Well I would say it's a very quality product from pearl range but not for beginners as it's too aggressive also the head is light weight than other models like SHD 27 (Which I would recommend first as it's head weight is more and gives lot more shaving control, I would any time prefer it rather that using those use-and-throw or cartrage type models.Once you start using this there is no going back to even mach 3 type of razors.This model is for those who do not shave regularly ie. long beard - it also took me couple of shaves to adjust my hand on this modelOverall a great product from madhav metalsAlso rates have been increased this time to double before it was like 359 to 399.Also use proper double side razor blades like widsor /super max /max or gillette range and never wipe the blades after removing them.

The problem is that picture shown in website shows brand name, which is missing in product. That makes it difficult to check/ remember which blade side was used last time. Handle is too small. In fact , in this Pearl brand, the same problem exist in other models too and all models are overpriced. I have bought 3 of their razors influenced by the reviews and prominence given to them on website and I am disappointed.

When comes to wet shaving in india Pearl safety razor is the best. I was never fond of open comb razors as it's very aggressive and closed comb are not much aggressive but still it provides the gentle and baby smooth shave all time. The short handle provides comfortable hold in hand and smooth to glide.This will be one of ur collection in Safety Razors.MUST BUY
