2.5 should fit. But you will need https://www.amazon.com/Apricorn-Notebook-Upgrade-Connection-ASW-USB3-25/dp/B005C983NA to clone the existing drive. Unless you have access to the 2nd SATA cable which is usually connected to the CD drive. Or you could use https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-SATA-Drive-Adapter-Cable/dp/B00HJZJI84/ref=pd_rhf_ee_s_bmx_0_2/134-0039296-0234549?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00HJZJI84&pd_rd_r=160a9cdc-dce4-4687-b132-d9934d1f4803&pd_rd_w=0hsfL&pd_rd_wg=Ryd4r&pf_rd_p=efbddc63-3194-4790-b27b-09bffa04412e&pf_rd_r=74YKXKG80H95QWHCGEGF&psc=1&refRID=74YKXKG80H95QWHCGEGF and mini partition tool to clone.
