Why are some reviews saying this Ash Bucket is not a Double-Bottom?

It is not a normal "double bottom." But there is an air space between the bottom of the bucket and rolled edges of the side walls that actually rest on ground when the bucket is put down on the ground. It works great.

What is the capacity of this bucket in gallons to compare to other containers?

I'm confused. Mr. Meyers conversion is a little off. 1,000 cu in is 4.3 gallons. Yet the manufacturer says it holds only 2 gallons. That would mean the 'false bottom' is more than half the height of the bucket.

What are the measurements?

Diameter is 10-1/4", circumference is 31-1/2", Height 13" without lid; 15" with lid. Hope this helps. I really like this product.
